As a creative director, I take great care of how the house looks and functions. I appreciate good user-friendly and comfortable design and hope that you might too. Along with some photography, deer head, and a good book, you will be surrounded in a lovely environment that will take all your stress away.
Pets are welcome but please be responsible for the energy and cleanliness of your dog or cat.

Two of us napped, cooked and played for a few days and barely left the house! Very cozy and cute inside, lots of great kitchenware and entertaining and nicely decorated in all the rooms We plan to come back in the fall or Thanksgiving and do exactly the same thing but with sweaters and a fire!
Wonderful stay. A great place to act as the base for our travels. Peaceful. Kitchen had everything we needed.Beds and pillows sooo comfortable!
Our group of four visited the Hudson Valley on business this week with long hard days away and wonderful relaxed and peaceful evenings dining and sleeping in this wonderful home. Impeccably decorated and organized--we were inspired by the design yet felt totally in comfort from the moment we arrived. Superbly functional kitchen, plenty of hot water, lovely towels, bedding and the owner's personal notes on eateries and whatnot in the area were very much appreciated. We came together from NC, RI and MD for our collaboration in this wonderful place and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.
LOVED loved loved this house and property! I felt like i was 'home'.
From the moment I entered,I was instantly comfortable..and enchanted.
The decor was great, the bathroom, towels, sheets, and beds were great..it was clean and cool.
EVERYTHING you would possibly need in a kitchen.(I WISH my drawers were this organized!)
The backyard was terrific with a grill and lovely seating.
The front porch so inviting...to sit back and read a book.
Easy to take days trips..
I look forward to renting it again and again..
I hated to leave!
My husband and I are buying a house in Stone Ridge and needed a rental over the Thanksgiving weekend where we could bring our dogs along while we met with our broker and got a feel for the area. Honestly, I wasn't really expecting much--we've rented lots of houses online and have come to know that photos and written descriptions can be deceptive. But what a surprise we had in Will's house! It was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, warm and inviting, even more attractive than the photos suggest. Our host, Will, thought of everything we'd need, including instructions about the house, information about the area, reviews of restaurants and shops nearby, and a bottle of wine. We got the feeling that he enjoyed having renters use and appreciate his beautiful space. We'll definitely stay there when we come up for the closing, and will recommend it to friends as well. A real find.
William's home is beautiful. It was a delightful place to stay while we were in Stone Ridge for the Riso-Hudson Enneagram 2 experience at the Barn. The home is comfortable, warm, nicely decorated. I loved all the amenities in the kitchen! So fun to have the iPod player, the wrap around deck to relax on with a glass of wine - we even did Zumba outside on the back patio with friends. William is responsive, friendly and great attention to detail when we had minor issues. It seems like it warmed his heart that we had so much fun at his house - definitely a great place to stay in Stone Ridge!!!
This is a cute house, not big, but VERY well designed and taken care of. It's a very old house, but totally redone, with tons of modern decor, excellent taste, and a kitchen worthy of the Hudson Valley food culture. The place is impeccably clean, and the layout of the house really makes sense. We stayed here for 10 days, and moved to a larger, more expensive house the following week and the contrast was remarkable. It's not a flop house, so I wouldn't bring tons of people, or wild kids. We did have an 8 and 5 year old, but they quickly learned to respect the space.
But better than the house was the owner. We were in the house during Hurriance Irene and he took a lot of care to make sure we were OK. Even before that, he reached out several times to make sure we were satisfied with everything. His hospitality was beyond the call of duty.
The region is gorgeous, and we spent a lot of time outoors - hikes, swimming holes, bike trips on the rails trails, etc. The house not totally secluded from other houses, but we never noticed anyone. Its a good 10 minutes up the hill from the main road and any retail, so you feel secluded. The summer crickets were deafening.
We recommend it.
