Bring your bikes or rent locally, as we are located adjacent to THE LEELANAU TRAIL, a renowned 'Rails -to-Trails' project that takes you 3.5 miles North to Suttons Bay or 12.5 miles South to Traverse City, where the Trail connects to the TART Trail and extends into the well known VASA Trail. Be ready for an exciting 2012 when TART Trails completes the paving project heading South to Traverse City... an AMAZING trail ride!

We are situated in the heart of one of the most magnificent areas. When I found our 'Hobby Farm' included was what once was a 100+ year-old Granary. I visualized a comfy Country Guesthouse for travelers in Spring, Summer & Fall that was centered in our magnificent Leelanau County.

After a complete renovation and more than 18-months of hard work, LEELANAU COUNTRY COTTAGE accommodated their first guests receiving many compliments.

We have since welcomed Tourists locally and far away, Winery Touring guests, many bicycle enthusiasts and even folks from Europe wishing to see the splendor of our area.

We are close to 7+ Wineries and Tasting Rooms, immediately adjacent to the fresh pavement of THE LEELANAU TRAIL and just minutes away from 'postcard perfect' freshwater beaches.

What a fantastic get away Cottage!

We planned a girl's weekend and found Bill's cottage absolutely perfect. It slept the 5 of us comfortably, was close to downtown Suttons Bay and the wine trail and had everything we needed! We will definitely come back and I've already recommended it to friends and family.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Clean, cozy, comfortable, private, quiet...just a great place to stay while taking in all the attractions that the Leelanau peninsula has to offer. Bill, the owner, was super helpful providing "insider information" on beaches and restaurants to make our stay even better. (Thanks for loaning us the beach chairs Bill!) We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Thank you for taking the time to greet us upon our arrival at your cottage. We appreciate the time you took to patiently go over the maps/guides you had prepared for us prior to our arrival. We enjoyed your cottage very much and will certainly return. We loved the fact that the cottage is centrally located in Suttons Bay, minutes away from the downtown Suttons Bay and from BlackStar Farms Winery (our favorite). Job well done!

Great Cottage

We had an excellent time. The property is even nicer in person. Bill, the property owner was very helpful and provided us with brochures listing all the local attractions. The property is close to Lelland, the wineries, Sutton's bay and Traverse City. It was a great home base for exploring all of the Leelanau pennisula. I highly recommend this property.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

We loved visiting the cottage. The location is outstanding to visit the Leelanau Pennisula's wineries, beaches, and the Sleepy Bear Dunes. It was very clean with the amenities we needed.
