From the time we arrived (in the late evening) and saw the twinkling lights of St John to our departure a week later we fell in love with the “Islands”. This was a great relaxing vacation and Papaya Ridge was a great “base camp” for our adventure. It’s located on Cabrita Point at the East end of St. Thomas and is far enough off the beaten path to make you feel like a local but close enough to shopping, restaurants and any adventure you might want. We rented a car and visited the Top of the Mountain, Meagan’s Bay, Coki Beach and much more.
Papaya Ridge was comfortable with the fresh ocean breeze (AC not needed), great views of St John and some other smaller cays, ferries, sailboats and lots of soaring birds. First thing each morning we grabbed our coffee and spent time on the deck just soaking in the tranquil view and planning our daily adventure. The place is affordable, has a full kitchen, cable TV, wireless internet and it a great place to launch your island adventure!
