We love the Napa Valley and can't imagine living anywhere else. My husband is retired from the shipping industry in San Francisco and I am a designer and realtor in town with
Coldwell Banker Brokers of the Valley. Have run Designs by Paulina LLC for the past 20+ years creating events and floral designs for a variety of clients in the valley, Sonoma county and San Francisco Bay Area. We raised our daughter here in St. Helena who just finished college.
Paulina Humeres-Greene purchased this farmhouse in 1985
The location of our house is great, can walk everywhere, this is one of the main reasons why we bought this property. This town is charming, sophisticated yet simple and friendly and I love that it is also an agricultural community.
Few minutes from everything the town has to offer. Restaurants, parks, schools, playgrounds, movies, coffee houses, grocery stores, churches, library, Beringer Vineyards, Spottswoode Winery, CIA... Can take great hikes, long walks or bicycle rides on country lanes enjoying magnificent views and fantastic weather. If you want to venture out of town to Calistoga (north) to check out the mud baths or spend the afternoon at Solage Spa and Resort or go the opposite way to Yountville (south) to explore more restaurants, shopping, art galleries or perhaps a bit of golf, the ride is no longer than 15 minutes in either direction. The town bustles with activity and energy during the day, once 6 o'clock rolls in the town quiets down for your enjoyment of beautiful quiet evenings while sipping a glass of wine on the front porch, the back deck under the stately Oak or in front of the fireplace.
Thank you for allowing my family to spend my father's 60th birthday in your beautiful St. Helena home! The house was great in size and layout, and very well appointed. The fresh flowers were a lovely touch, especially since my father is an avid gardener. I wish that we had utilized the awesome back deck more. I almost forgot to mention how amazing the location was! Quiet St. just a couple blocks from everything. Really enjoyed walking to coffee, meals, and shopping. Everything was wonderful! We look forward to returning in a few years!
My husband and two children (7 and 8 years) rented this beautiful house with close family friends (children 4 and 5) for a Sonoma wedding during Labor Day weekend. Everything else was booked, or wouldn't allow CHILDREN (they're house trained, for Pete's sake), but we ended up being overjoyed to have landed in our beautiful St. Helena house! The bedrooms are large, with walk-in closets. Plenty of space for two families, including all our wedding gear and kids' swim stuff. Each bedroom has a bathroom ( only one tub, but that was fine because our children are older) - so convenient! The kitchen is VERY well-appointed. There were serving bowls and platters. Pots and pans and serve ware and flatware and a very good sized pantry. There is a laundry room, which would have been amazing if we had stayed longer than 3 nights! The children and the adults also enjoyed an enormous backyard patio, featuring a regal 350 year-old California Oak, and a charming front porch swing that saw a lot of miles that weekend, to the glee of the children. I also feel it's necessary to comment on the warmth and friendliness of the homeowners. The proprietress greeted me when my children and I arrived early on Friday, helped us bring in our many, many groceries, and gave us the tour of the house. She was immediately friendly to me, and lovely and sweet with my children. I felt an immediate connection with her. Afterwards, if I had a question and texted her, she replied immediately, which I found both courteous and professional. Our stay happened to be during the 6.0 earthquake that struck the area at 3:20 am Sunday morning. Both owners (husband and wife) went out of their way to come over with lanterns in their PJs in the middle of the night (the power was off), just to check that we all were ok and the house was intact. Thankfully, other than the power and a few other minor things we all we're well, but their concern was very appreciated. I think the weekend by far surpassed our expectations. I'd love to go back and stay again. It was as comfortable as home, but felt like a vacation considering the comfort and beauty of the house, and the fact that we could walk to St. Helena in minutes for all the beautiful shops and restaurants, the park and downtown. It was absolutely lovely. I'd recommend this home to anyone who wanted to have a relaxing stay in St. Helena with all the comforts of home, and being just steps from wine country.
My wife and our two young sons and I met my parents, my brother and his girlfriend in Napa for a wedding. We had a lovely time at Casa Robles. Seniora Green-Humeres was a wonderful hostess. Our boys loved the grand backyard patio. We took full advantage of guest passess to Meadowood CC, which is beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed several glasses of wine on the front porch swing taking in the smell of the lemon, lime, and rose bushes. The home is well appointed, ideally located, clean, and comfortable. We recommend it without reservations.
We had such a delightful stay at house! The house is within walking distance to downtown St. Helena where there are some great amazing restaurants and stores. We enjoyed the town and surrounding areas - including visits to some amazing wineries - and we look forward to returning soon!
Thank you for your gracious hospitality.
We were 3 couples who were grateful to each have our own bed and bath. Loved the location, the generous kitchen and big deck. The owner is gracious and very easy to work with. No surprises, it looks exactly as pictured. Wonderful stay, hope to be back!
This place has everything you need to live it up in Napa! Great location in downtown St Helena only a few blocks from great restaurants and shops. The owners do a great job of providing everything you need for comfort. The kitchen is great, has laundry on site, and the grounds are beautiful.
I could not speak more highly of the owner and this home. My whole family agrees that this was the best vacation we've ever had. Even though our flight didn't get in until very late Wednesday night, the owner was still waiting for us the moment we arrived. Everything was just as described and much more. The pictures don't justify how clean, quaint, and bright this home really is. With the home being centered between all of the wineries and restaurants, we were in a perfect location to get to all of our desired destinations and walking distance to great restaurants and shops. We'll definitely be back!
