This was a very nice condo from which to explore Volcano National Park, the green sand beach, and South Point. The condo was exactly as advertised, and was actually nicer than the photos would indicate. It is on the small side, but given the time actually spent there and that there was only two of us, it was the right size. The pool is very conveniently located just outside the door, theblack sand beach an easy walk from the condo, and the manager was very pleasant. Be sure to purchase your groceries BEFORE leaving Hilo or it will be a ling drive back. It is even longer if coming from Kona.
The only comment I would make is that the directions could be better - both on getting there and while staying there. The driving directions had us looking for a small sign for a public beach, the name of which I do not remember, then going to the next road and turning. It would be much simplier if the driving direction had us turn at the large black rock wall with the name of the condo complex clearly printed in white. That would have saved us from missing the turning and going several miles out of our way after a long day.
The directions for use of the condo that were on the table when we arrived conflicted with the directions we received in the mail. We had to clarify several items with the manager to be sure we didn't leave something "ON" that should have been "OFF" and vise versa. These need to be revieweed by the owner and rental company for consistency.
Overall, those were pretty minor. The condo was quaint and very well priced for traveling on a budget. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends visiting Hawaii.
