Overview

Salt Lake City House Rental Photos and Description

House, 5 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12)

Looking for a large house close to downtown? This is the place for you! Most 'historic' houses are old, drafty, musty-smelling homes, but this one is definitely NOT that. It's completely restored and updated, with new furniture and decor. It's in the eclectic 9th & 9th district of Salt Lake City, just over a mile from the center of downtown Salt Lake City and the convention center. Close to the city's center, yet just down the street from beautiful Emigration Canyon and the ski resorts.

The house is truly exquisite inside; it's filled with antiques and items that we've collected in our travels around the world, NOT the same old plywood furniture that you see in most of the other rentals. Before you book your stay somewhere else, really take a look at the pictures of the decor & furnishings and ask yourself if that would be more comfortable. Not to mention the location!

There is a large, private hot tub in the back yard. There is a large-screen plasma TV in the spacious entertainment room. There is also a Wii game console and a large collection of books in the house to read. The dining room has a large table and can seat up to 10 people. Parking available for small boats and RVs. There is a 24-hour supermarket within 2 blocks of the house and the kitchen is fully equipped with all of the appliances & utensils that you'll need during your stay.

Please note that bedroom 5 doubles as a family room, but it has its own locking door and closet. Click on the video tour to see the layout of the house.

About Cami & Daniel

I am not a big rental agency that will treat you like a number. I own a handful of extra homes that I rent out & I'll treat you like my guests. I take so much more pride in my guests' satisfaction than any large rental agency does. If ANYTHING is not perfect with your stay, I will make it right!

Cami & Daniel purchased this house in 2010

Why Cami & Daniel chose Salt Lake City

We bought it because of its proximity to the mountains, downtown Salt Lake City, the major ski resorts, and Hogle Zoo.

What makes this house unique

Located 1 block away from the famous 9th & 9th shopping district. Yoga studios, fine cuisine, curio shops, coffee shops, salons, etc.

Close to Ski Slopes

  • 5 of 5

I chose this home because it was close to downtown, and I was worried that it wasn't close enough to the ski slopes, but it was a very quick ride to get to both Cottonwood canyons where the skiing is. We liked being so close to the shops at the 9&9 district and the neighborhood had a very clean & safe feel to it.

PROS:

· Living areas were comfortable and roomy

· Very clean and everything was organized

· Lots of amenities and toiletries were provided free

· All of the beds were very comfortable

CONS:

· We had 5 cars and the most we could fit in the driveway was 3. Plenty of parking on the street though.

Excellent House

  • 5 of 5

Seven of us came into town to do some ice climbing up in the Uinta Mountains and we stayed here. It was a very pleasant place to stay. All of the amenities and no stress whatsoever. The owner was a very nice guy who would have probably given us the shirt off of his back if we had asked him to. 6 stars!

More Than Expected

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here while visiting family in Salt Lake and we ended up inviting the family to come over to the house for dinner because it was so much nicer than my sister's home.

HOUSE: The house was very roomy with plenty of seating for everyone. The kitchen was excellent and had everything we needed, along with very high-end new appliances. Very comfortable bedrooms. The 5th bedroom had a foldout sofabed but it was quite comfortable.

NEIGHBORHOOD: Very quiet and safe neighborhood. Within walking distance of Liberty Park, which you can see on the map. Felt very close to the mountains. About a mile or so from the middle of the city. No complaints there.

YARD: The yard was very well-kept. It was completely fenced in in the back and offered a lot of privacy, since I don't think anyone could have looked in without a very tall ladder to see over the fence. Hot tub was really well-maintained and got up to 104 easily.

Charming home for a crowd

  • 5 of 5

We (7 adults and one child - all relatives) throughly enjoyed staying at this home for a week. There was plenty of room for everyone to have privacy and a couple of open living areas for coming together. We weren't at the house much as we were enjoying our time in SLC.

The hot tub was a nice feature, and the house had well-built furniture. The dining table fit so many comfortably in a compact space and was beautifully designed; my mother-in-law wanted to ask where she could find one! Very impressed with the kitchen appliances, and the cabinets were stocked with the necessities.

Daniel was especially responsive and accommodating. He made it easy for us to access the home on the weekend when he happened to be out of town. I highly recommend reading through the book they provided, complete with restaurant suggestions.

It's a few blocks from the tram, so it's best to have a car if you stay here.

The only hitches we experienced, that we worked around:

- The house is on a busy, main street. The visibility is fine for coming and going from the single-car driveway. Surprisingly, there was no traffic noise that was disruptive.

- There always were cars parked on the street in front of the house that limited our parking space. We fit two vehicles in the driveway, but on occasion had three.

- Noisy washer that prevented us from throwing in a load at night. We had to wash towels daily, so we always did those first!

- Not enough seating in either of the living areas to accommodate everyone, but we found wooden folding chairs upstairs and utilized the floor downstairs.

Just what we needed

  • 5 of 5

We landed at the house with Daniel to greet us - showed us the ins and outs, made us feel welcome. The home is stocked with everything you might need, and the location was a great 'inbetween' of city life & food (Salt Lake has AMAZING food!) and the fabulous ski hills. Coffee maker broke down one morning, and Daniel was there with a new one that afternoon - very attentive and on the ball. We were very pleased with our stay and would recommend his rentals without hesitation.

Thanks again Daniel,

Steph, Mark, and the rest of the easy blue race team :)
