Bocce Ball Court, Outdoor Chiminea (wood provided), 5-Hole Professional Putting Green, Horseshoes (all sporting equipment provided on-site), and plenty of games and puzzles to keep the young and old alike entertained. There are also two goats that are big characters, mighty friendly, and enjoy small chunks of carrots if you're adventuresome. We have a football and baseball bat with tennis balls for use on the 6,000 square foot front lawn that's large enough for a number of activities. La Purisma golf course and mission is less then one mile away ... AND, of course you have many, many wineries and fine dining establishments in the area for you to capture the full experience of this wine region.

great get away

When we arrived at the ranch and were speechless. The pictures do not do this place justice. We were welcomed with fresh flowers, fruit, cheese and wine. Very nice touch. Pam arrived and gave us a quick tour and insisted we call her anytime for any reason. We celebrated Mothers and as well as a birthday. My grandsons ages 10 and 11 had four days full of adventure and lots of wildlife. Great place for active kids.
We can't wait to make this an annual trip.

Santa Barbara Film Festival Weekend Getaway

I brought my family of five on vacation to experience the annual film festival in Santa Barbara. I had nothing short of a tremendous experience while staying at the Vine Yard View Ranch house. When we first arrived I was immediately impressed by the sparkling appearance of the interior of the house. I especially loved the kitchen and dining room, both made for the perfect meals in between exploring the acreage and visiting the nearby wineries. Pam was very helpful in making sure we had everything that we needed for the weekend and also made some excellent recommendations of places to see and things to do close by. Waking up each morning to the gorgeous views (not to mention the incredible shower) made the ranch a hard place to leave. We had a busy weekend visiting Santa Barbara, but Vine Yard View Ranch acted as the perfect escape for some relaxation. We even ended up staying an extra day to devote entirely to enjoying the ranch. I would very highly recommend this getaway to anyone looking for wonderful retreat to wine country. After our stay we all agreed that this ranch epitomizes the central California beauty found between San Louis Obispo and Santa Barbara.

PS: I had know idea goats could be so friendly!

The only regret I have about our stay is that we didn't book an extra day or two so we could just hang out there. Seriously, we didn't want to leave. But the many nearby wineries, quaint Solvang and Santa Barbara beckoned. This is a very private property but easily accessible. It's apparent that the cottage has undergone a first-class renovation. It sits on a knoll overlooking vineyards, valley and coastal range. The grounds and expansive patio are lovely. The interior is tastefully decorated, comfortable and well maintained. The VRBO listing photos don't really do the place justice. We especially enjoyed the gourmet kitchen, 72-inch TV, comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Owner's were very gracious and left detailed written instructions. Noteworthy: Night sky, bocci ball court, horseshoe pit,putting green and two pet goats. Our party gives if four thumbs up.

We were looking for a special place to spend a few days celebrating my mom's 80th birthday, and it was everything and more than we could have dreamed of! All the five star ratings/reviews are right on! Pam's warm greeting and personal and helpful recommendations about the property and the surrounding areas and activities topped off our stay. Although there's lots to do and see in this lovely area, the highlight of our time was just being at Vineyard View Ranch! Thanks for making it such a memorable celebration! A Romantic Getaway!

This beautiful house had everything we hoped for! The decor and amenities were pristine and the outdoor activities gave us hours of entertainment. We enjoyed the nearby wineries and had happy hour overlooking the vineyards. The patio was perfect for our outdoor dinner and breakfasts.

I would definitely recommend this amazing house (and feeding the goats while you are there)!
