This is one of two carriage house apartments next door to my home (see one-bedroom listing #372092), in the heart of the Santa Fe historic district. Both apartments are newly rennovated inside by one of Santa Fe's leading architects, but retain the charm of an historic building on the outside. Turn off a quiet neighborhood street into a long drive to off-street parking in front of the apartment, nestled among lovely mature trees. This unit is two story, with a bedroom and bath on the ground floor and living area, kitchen, dining area, master bedroom and bath on second level, looking out to the trees through several light-filled windows. Sliding doors lead from the ground level bedroom to a private patio.

Enjoy the charm of living in a real Santa Fe neighborhood but with the convenience of a few short blocks to the Plaza or Canyon Road art district.

This outstanding carriage house is located just a short walk from the Plaza but far enough away for a peaceful experience. The contemporary, yet cozy, interior design hit the mark. Attention to detail was obvious...from the fully equipped modern kitchen to the tasteful furnishings and artwork. Parking in the courtyard was a real plus as many vacation rentals only allow on street parking which can be a hassle. We are already planning a return trip. This will be our "home away from home" in Santa Fe!

Pristine Apartment - Fantastic Location

My parents and I enjoyed staying at this fantastic apartment during a long weekend visit to Santa Fe. It is in a great location just a couple of blocks to the plaza, near La Posada, but tucked away on a quiet, peaceful street. The apartment itself is gorgeous, comfortable, and immaculately clean. I found nothing out of place or lacking in cleanliness and I almost always find something that hasn't been cleaned to my extremely high standards. (I am a germophobe, what can I say?) The layout is great for privacy, as one bed and bath are upstairs, the other downstairs. The kitchen is small but well appointed. We re-heated some leftovers for lunch one day and made a birthday cake in the kitchen and it was perfect. There was also a corkscrew and a coffee pot - always appreciated. :)

All in all an A+ apartment that I would absolutely recommend and would definitely rent again when in the area.

In love with Santa Fe...in love with this apartment!

My husband and I spent five days in this very stylish and comfortable townhouse in the heart of Santa Fe and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The two-floor apartment is clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and nestled into a jewel of a neighborhood within walking distance of the Plaza -- and the shopping, restaurants and museums that make Santa Fe such a special destination. Now that we know about Casa Martinez we have an added reason to visit this beautiful old town -- frankly the apartment is a destination unto itself -- we loved it. The owner gave us advice on restaurants, food shopping (though we only made breakfast in the apartment), and was knowledgeable about museums and spas in the area. We're going back!

I can't think of one single thing that was wrong with this place. Full renovated with exquisite contemporary taste. I truly felt like we were staying in a luxury hotel. The second bedroom downstairs is ideal if you travel with another couple or family or if privacy is needed. The location is great, right in the heart of old Santa Fe downtown, walking distance to the main city sites, but with enough privacy to enjoy yourself and relax while enjoying the charm of the historic neighborhood and city. I highly recommend this place; we will definitively stay there next time we go back to Santa Fe.
