I'm Argentinian, I grew up in Buenos Aires and always lived here. I'm renting the apartment for tourists, making my best for you to have a great time while you stay here in BA!
It used to be my family's apartment but now I use it for rentals purposes only!
It's located in a beautiful area, close to everything! And it's very spacious!!! (1345 sq ft)
ALTO PALERMO SHOPPING MALL (Av. Santa Fé 3253)
Just 2 blocks away you have this beautiful shopping mall, full of all kinds of stores!
BUENOS AIRES BOTANICAL GARDEN (Av. Santa Fé 3951)
4 blocks away the other way round, you have the huge and beautiful botanical garden which is a great place to visit to relax.
LAS HERAS PARK (Jerónimo Salguero & Av. Las Heras)
Walking out of the apartment, turn left. Then turn left again on the first street you encounter, which is Jerónimo Salguero, and 3 blocks away you have a really nice and big park you can always visit for a nice walk!
PLAZA SERRANO (Jorge Luis Borges & Honduras) also called Plaza Julio Cortázar (PALERMO SOHO) and
PLAZA ARMENIA (Costa Rica & Armenia ) (PALERMO SOHO)
Around 15 blocks away you have these two lovely “Plazas”, which are really nice to visit, specially for all the cafes, restaurants and stores you can go to. I recommend it on weekends, where the are large “Street Fairs” you’ll probably love to see!
I also recommend to walk down Santa Fe Avenue to downtown (that means the same way that you would walk to get to the Alto Palermo Shopping Mall.) This Avenue is full of all kinds of stores you’ll love to see. For Instance we recommend to visit in Av. Santa Fé 1860 “El Ateneo, Grand Splendid”, a lovely bookstore, which used to be a theatre. It’s a beautiful and huge bookstore where you can also stay for a while and have a cup of coffee or tea!
Of course there are lots of other places to visit! Anyway, you can ask for directions and of course, the subway, buses and taxis will always get you back home.
The 'Green' Subway Line is the “D” line, which you’ll see, passes on Santa Fé Avenue! You have one stop at Bulnes & Av. Santa Fe and another one at Scalabrini Ortiz & Av. Santa Fe. Both of them are two blocks away from the apartment! If you take it and go “downtown”, to the “9 de Julio” or “Catedral” stops, you’ll get right down to the “center” of Buenos Aires! It’s quite a busy place to be, so I recommend to investigate a Little bit beforehand where you want to go!
PLAZA FRANCIA (Av. Del Libertador & Av. Pueyrredon)
Another beautiful Park, with a huge fair on weekends.
MUSEO DE BELLAS ARTES (Av. Del Libertador 1473)
One of the greatest musems in Buenos Aires.
BIBLIOTECA NACIONAL (Agüero 2503)
The BA National Library is a beautiful place to hang out which has a very particular architecture. You’ll probably love when you see it!
OBELISCO (Av. 9 de Julio & Corrientes)
The Obelisk of BA is in the heart of downtown.
AVENIDA 9 de Julio and CALLE CORRIENTES
Two of the most visited streets in Buenos Aires. Great theatres and lots of antique bookstores.
Café Tortoni (Avenida de Mayo 825) and Café de los Angelitos (Avenida Rivadavia 2100)
These two beautiful Tango Bars are historical artistic places, you can go there to have a coffee or dinner. These are absolutely charming places which you won’t want to leave. I recommend going during the weekdays because on weekends is usually full.
PUERTO MADERO: is the BA waterfront, filled with restaurants. Also a beautiful place to walk/hang out.
