We finished building our home in 2010. No one has lived in it for more than 3 months so it is just like new. It has open modern floor plan. Ceramic tile floors thorough-out with in floor heat to keep you toes warm in the winter, January only. The gas fire place in the dinning room will set the tone for those romantic evening when it is chilly. The counter tops are all granite in the kitchen. Bath counters are marble and showers are glass block. It has roomy closets for any storage needs.
Town has stores for groceries, car parts or hardware needs . Also artists stores, are here with their paintings and jewelry. We have the goat soap store with fine lotions made with old time recipes. Bird watchers come in the spring for the whooping crane migration. Just a few minutes to OLD West Wilcox or Benson. It is gem of a town.
Keywords: Modern open floor plan w great room. 2 sun porches to follow the sun.Overlooks the 6th T-box and rest of golf course. LOOKS out at Cochise's Strong-hold Park.
We build this house on the golf course so we could golf . The people here are friendly and watch out for each other without being in your space. Arizona is famous for its nut tree farms. We built this house our selves and put In many perks you'll love. It not too fancy so you wont feel like it will all break yet you'll be comfortable.
The community is friendly and safe. The golf course club house and restaurant is opened for breakfast and lunch. Special chefs come in to provide gourmet meals. A visitor center is also located in the club house. You can find out about the parks, and trail heads and activities there.
There are plenty of farmers markets, garage sales and events in the active community. The senior center is always hopping.
Not enough , you need fine dinning and shopping Tucson is just an hour away. The winery in Wilcox has excellent food and wine tasting. Benson has some other good places to eat and 3 different Mexican restaurants.
It was great! Everything exceeded our expectation. Al and Marcia are the owners and were a pleasure to meet. We enjoyed our time and look forward to doing it again.
We stayed a month and could have easily stayed longer. Waking up and looking at the mountains or watching the birds on the golf course, contemplating the day over a cup of fresh coffee...makes it hard to get up and actually get going. But there are options like golfing, hiking, exploring or visiting small local shops.
It’s not hard to hang around this new custom built house with an open floor plan. The large living spaces, bedrooms and baths with huge showers and walk-in-closets gave us both space to move about. Every night I pulled my car into the attached garage.
It has a well-stocked kitchen with pans, gadgets and stuff. We did a lot of cooking on the natural gas grill, not a propone tank to refill, on the outdoor patio.
Shadow Mountain Golf Course is challenging and almost always open to play. The clubhouse has a restaurant, bar and social activities. Everyone we met was friendly. We liked it.
Staying in this rural farming community has its trade-offs. For peace and time away from the hub-bub of the city...this place is it. But an hour drive is required to reach nearby “cities” for major supplies or medical services that you might be missing.
We highly recommend this home. The home was very clean, beautiful, and had the feel of elegants. The home owners were very nice and helped in any way they could to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. We are telling our friends and relatives about the home and all there is to do in the area. Lots of history. Loved it
