Featured in 'Detroit Home,' this exquisite Charlevoix home is on picturesque Round Lake and one of northern Michigan's premier harbors. The walk-everywhere location is close to everything downtown Charlevoix has to offer - dining, shopping, people-watching, the marina, groceries, Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix, and boat launches.
The 4,000 square foot house has a spacious kitchen, open dining and comfortable living areas with custom high-beamed ceilings. The fully-stocked gourmet kitchen features a Wolf 8-burner range, Sub Zero freezer and refrigerator, and two Miele dishwashers.
The dining room table has seating for 6 and the breakfast bar has seating for 5. The living room has ample seating for 9 to 10. In addition, the outside deck furniture includes a table with seating for 8.
Two wrap-around porches with first-floor walkouts are ideal for entertaining, and can provide privacy for guests who want quiet time.
Four soothing bedrooms, with four en-suite bathrooms, provide comfort and privacy to all guests. The fifth bedroom has been turned into a library, with an en-suite bathroom. A large desk and computer provide an area for work.
There is additional guest parking on the property. No smokers. No smoking anywhere on the property. No pets. Child-friendly, but not to all ages.
The home is located in downtown Charlevoix, just a block from Bridge Street, two houses away from John Cross Fish Market (no you can't smell the fish from the house), and a half block from the famous blue boat house. All stays at the property shall require a $39 Accidental Rental Damage Insurance policy from TravelGuard.
The bedrooms are as follows:
Main Floor Master Suite with King
Upper Level with Queen
Walk-Out Lower Level Second Master Suite with King, plus a pull out sofa bed
Walk-Out Lower Level with Queen
Keywords: Exquisite family home, waterfront property, Northern Michigan's premier harbor, lovely water's edge home
We built this home in 2003 because we love the area all year round.
The walk-everywhere location was so appealing to us, along with being right on Round Lake and in the heart of Charlevoix. Belvedere Avenue is incredibly quiet, yet close enough to the hustle of downtown when you want it. Because Round Lake is a 'no wake' lake, you see the boat traffic, but you don't hear it.
