Offered for rent is a spacious, sun-filled 4 bedroom / 3.5 bath, 2732 square foot home nestled right up to the edge of Romerly Marsh at The Landings on Skidaway Island. Located only 12 miles from beautiful, historic Savannah. It is a perfect place to relax, reconnect with your partner, or reunite with family and friends. Immerse yourself in nature at this private home, which offers 180-degree marsh-front views from nearly every room. This home offers Wi-Fi, HD cable with premium movie channels, fully equipped kitchen, bicycles, kayaks, breathtaking sunrises over the marsh, and full use of a golf cart! In water boat storage is available at Delegal Creek Marina. Dogs considered, and must be pre approved before visit. The house is available for rent daily or weekly.
Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, less than five minutes from the Main Gate. The Landings' golf cart trail system can be accessed from the street. Delegal Creek Marina is the favorite spot for viewing sunsets and is a 10 minute bike ride from the house. Large live oaks draped with Spanish moss shade the property. The Savannah area has unusually large tides, generally 7-9 feet. Most high tides bring water within yards of the property. The water disappears at low tide and brings wildlife to the tidal flats. Egrets, blue heron, hummingbirds, raccoons, fox, and deer are regularly seen from the back of the house. The large back deck is very private and offers great views of the marsh.
Full use of our 4-passenger electric golf cart is included with all rentals. The golf cart is a fun way to explore the island's 40 miles of cart trails, or just take an evening ride to Delegal Creek Marina to see the sunset. The cart has headlights for nighttime use and an enclosure for cold weather use. All drivers of the golf cart must be 16 years of age with a valid drivers license.
For our more adventurous guests, there are four kayaks, paddles, and flotation vests available to explore Romerly Marsh. Normally, the marsh can be accessed from the back yard within an hour of high tide. The marsh is a maze of salt water rivers that swell during high tide and is home to a variety of fish and sea birds.
There are 6 bikes (including one child's bike) available to explore beautiful Skidaway Island on the bike/golf cart trails.
There are 2 fishing poles available for guests to use at the 2 marinas in The Landings.
In water boat storage is available at Delegal Creek Marina in the Landings. Delegal Creek Marina is less than a 2 mile drive from our home. The cost is approximately $20-$25/night depending on the boat length. Fishing and beaches are a short boat ride from the marina. The home has an open floor plan with large rooms, 9' ceilings, and plentiful natural light. The living room, sunroom and main floor master bedroom have panoramic marsh-front views. The upper floor consists of two spacious bedrooms separated by a shared full bathroom. A fourth bedroom is down the hall from the master bedroom. A two and a half car attached garage with a separate golf cart door provides ample storage space. All bedrooms have memory foam mattresses. There are 4 televisions in the house. A large dining room overlooks the sunroom and marsh. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to entertain including a wine chiller. The laundry room has a washing machine, dryer, and iron.
Master bedroom—Is located on the main floor, with private full bathroom, a king bed, walk-in closet, and access to back deck. TV.
Bedrooms #2 & #3—are upstairs, with a shared full bathroom, and a queen bed in each bedroom. TV in one bedroom.
Bedroom #4—located on the main level and down the hall from the master, hallway full bathroom next door, and a full sized bed. TV.

Dining: Eclectic mix of local restaurants in the Sand Fly community, or a choice of dozens of restaurants on Abercorn St.-- both 10 minutes from the gate.
Please note that The Landings Club located on the island is a private club. The Landings Club facilities (golf courses, tennis courts, pools, fitness and restaurants) are not accessible to renters. The Landings club does not allow the transfer of membership privileges to non-members.

Watch the sunrise over the marsh with a cup of coffee on the deck, use the bikes and explore the island on the 40 miles of bike trails, and take kayaks out into the marsh at high tide and see sea birds, Native American shell rings, and occasionally a dolphin. Store your boat at Delegal Marina, fish in the many lakes on Skidaway or the intracoastal waterway, hike the trails of Skidaway State Park, read a book or relax on the deck while observing the wildlife of Romerly Marsh, take the golf cart to Delegal marina and watch the sunset from the observation deck.
The house was neat, clean and had all of the amenities we needed. The view of the marsh was amazing. Skidaway Island is like paradise with so much to do. We would love to go back next year.
Our extended family recently spent Christmas at the Landings and this lovely home was the gathering place for meals and conversation. It was perfect for a large group with its spacious rooms and comfortable furniture, large windows and patio doors that bring the beautiful surroundings right inside. We fed 18 people easily from the well equipped kitchen and there were plenty of dishes and glassware for each meal.
Our two daughters and their families lived in the house while we were there and the the setup with two bedrooms up and two down was perfect for the two families. And the report from them is that the mattresses are wonderfully comfortable.
Although the rooms are spacious, and our group was large, a smaller group or even a couple would not feel that the house is too large. I save the best for last ... the deck overlooking the ever-changing marsh cannot be beat. It is hard to tear yourself away to enjoy all that the Landings and Savannah has to offer!
What a wonderful home for vacation. Everything was perfect. The house was exactly as promised. It was spacious and clean...absolutely clean. The house was better than advertised. The owners are a joy to work with and are great at responding. I actually contacted them with a question on New Year's day and quickly received a response. We and the kids loved the house and our rooms. I enjoyed sitting in the sun room drinking my coffee in the mornings while watching the wildlife out the window. I saw many birds and about 6 deer one morning. The fishing gear, kayaks and golf cart were often used and a great treat to have. The internet worked great and we enjoyed having premium TV to watch at the end of the day too. The kitchen and all the supplies were wonderful. We fixed New Year’s Eve dinner at the house which turned out wonderful. It was certainly easy to do with the all the utensil and cooking supplies in the kitchen. The Landings was a wonderful treat for us. The neighborhood is safe and very quiet. It is run like a community should be. We spent many days looking at houses in the area since Savannah is one of the two places we are considering for retirement. All our best. would stay here again in a minute without hesitation.

Simply delightful in everyway. Clean, well-maintained, well appointed, in fact, I don't believe I have ever been so happy with a vacation rental. The tide would come in every morning and evening very near our deck. We saw deer, fox, coons, lots of different birds and don't forget the squirrels while sitting in the sun room drinking our morning coffee. The kitchen had everything I ever thought I needed plus more. The beds are super comfortable. There was ample seating and comfortable, plus I liked the open concept. We could visit while cooking, reading, watching TV, etc. We took numerous golf carts rides exploring the island, much larger than I had thought. I would come back again in a heart beat. And the fall seems to be a great time to visit, cooler in the mornings, warm in the afternoons. This truly is one of the places that is BETTER than adversized!
We spent a wonderful week at this property and did not want to leave. The rhythm of the tides through the marsh, the spanish moss decorating the huge oaks, the surprising wildlife, the multitude of fishing options, the walking trails and just exploring in the golf cart made for a relaxing stay. The house is designed and furnished to maximize the beauty of this rejuvenating setting.
What a beautiful home. We thoroughly enjoyed our week on Skidaway Island. The owners have thought of everything that made our week perfect. The setting on the marsh was wonderful and we saw a variety of wildlife, including wood storks, pileated woodpeckers, great blue herons, egrets, ibis, and many more. It is conveniently located near restaurants and Savannah. Hope to be able to stay there again next year.
