After four years without a vacation, our family chose Siesta Key as our destination. Without a doubt, we will return every year. Unquestionably the best vacation we’ve ever had. The facilities are gorgeous. The condo was perfect. Siesta Dunes is convenient to everything. At the time of our visit, our kids were 5 and 3. Having a washer and dryer in the condo was a life-saver. My sister-n-law and her family came down while we were there and there was plenty of room for the 3 of them and the 4 of us.
This beach has to be seen to be believed. It was unlike any beach my husband or I had ever seen. It was the first time our kids had been to the beach so imagine our surprise when we first walked onto the beach the sand was actually cold. It’s like walking on powder. Amazing. This place also has a heated salt water pool, a hot tub and this crazy big deck that literally sits on the beach. Almost nightly (kids willing) we watched the sun set from the deck. The pool/deck area is so nice we literally had to flip a coin as to whether we would go to the beach or the pool. The bottom line is we had a blast. This condo and Siesta Key is now our family’s annual vacation haven.
If you have the chance during your stay – take a short drive to Venice and eat at Luna’s. The most incredible Italian food ever! Bring your appetite though, their portions are enormous.
