We stay 4 days with our 16 year old granddaughter. The property was clean and everything needed for a great getway was available. We enjoyed the river so much. We will return again.
This is a lovely, comfortable home, nicely furnished, very clean with a large kitchen, dining inside and outside on the screened porch. There is good separation of the bedrooms and each has a private bath. It is a great place to kick back with friends and family. The river front is gorgeous with towering cypress trees. Nearby, be sure to visit Crider's on Fri. evening for wonderful catfish outside under the giant oaks, Rio Rancho Tacos and of course Elaine's Table.
Our stay in this house was wonderful. We were in the Hunt area for Thanksgiving and chose this house because of the kitchen because we needed to cook our Thanksgiving meal. The kitchen has a double oven and everything needed to prepare our meal. Lots of counter space, dishwasher and enough pots, pans, dishes, utensils etc. The beds were comfortable. The house was spotless including the bathrooms. My only small disappointment was we were not as close to the river as I thought we would be but just a quick walk so it really was not an issue. Very quiet and peaceful setting. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful and she even made sure we had firewood there for the fireplace. Loved it!!!
The house is very comfortable, nicely furnished with a spacious kitchen. Love the screened-in porch for reading, napping, and dining. Slept out there on our most recent stay and it was lovely - cool and quiet. Beautiful wild flowers along the short walk to the river. We had the river all to our selves. It was still a bit cold for swimming but we enjoyed hanging out under the cypress trees and watching birds. This was also a great place to see the meteor shower. Dinner at Elaine's Table is consistently good.
My husband and I spent our honeymoon in one of the other houses in this small area twenty years ago. The kottage we stayed in then is no longer open for rental so we stayed here instead and it was a wonderful experience. Close to the river, fishing, the screened in porch and all the comforts of home are waiting for you here!! If you are looking for a quiet get away, a girl's weekend, or a family reunion, this is the place.
I have stayed at this lovely property several times.
The house is nicely furnished, very comfortable and has all that one needs to relax and enjoy a getaway.
The river is about a minute walk from the house and has a quiet, beautiful waterfront sitting area with swim ladder. I love to float down the river to the town of Hunt. It is always nice to have dinner out at Elaine's Table - just one mile away.
There is a screened in porch where you can sit and watch the deer and hummingbirds.
The nights are quiet and a favorite night time activity is star gazing.
