2704 Palm Boulevard

My family including my husband our three daughters and spouses and our 6 grandsons, aged 12 - 19 spent our annual 4 night Easter weekend at 2704 Palm Blvd. This house is older, but ocean front, nice back yard and large screened porch were definitely assets as well as proximity to the city park/recreation area with basketball courts, tennis, etc. We also enjoyed the quieter end of the island. House has upper and lower living areas with separate entrances - take care as not all outside lights work. The lower level is obviously older with updates. The upper level must have been added later and has wonderful spacious great room opening to the screened porch. We loved the large table comfortably seating all 14 of us together. (That's really hard to find). The house could use a thorough cleaning, touch up painting and minor repairs (loose steps and nails backing out of boards on steps). The upper kitchen is well equipped - plenty of dishes, silverware, etc. I had to wipe the oven prior to use. It was self-clean, but someone had sprayed with oven spray and left it. Plenty of linens including towels, washcloths, pillows, blankets, etc. (no pot holders). We usually only eat out a couple of meals while in Charleston, so the nice large grill was a real bonus. If you're looking for a spotless, modern facility - this is not it. (Often pet friendly rentals are not as well kept). If you're looking for quiet ocean front, private beach access, unobstructed ocean view and comfortable sleeping accommodations for 14 (2BR with twins, 1BR with king, 4BR with queen), flat screen TV in all but two bedrooms, Wi-Fi, DVD players - this is it. All in all, nothing we couldn't deal with - an enjoyable weekend.
