'The Little House' is perfect for small families and couples-2 queen beds and 1 bath. Living area has sofa and loveseat and surfboard inspired coffee table. There is also a wood burning fireplace and a gas log stove-great for Fall and Off Season rentals. There are ceiling fans in the Bedrooms and Living Area. The kitchen area has a new apartment size stove/oven and refrigerator, a new microwave and it is fully equipped. The bathroom has been recently renovated and has a new vanity, toilet and marble tile flooring. New, upgraded bedding and mattresses in the bedrooms. Other improvements include 3 flat screen tvs, 2 DVD players, docking station (iPad, iPhone & iPod) and WiFi. There is a path from the back of the home that leads to the canal. At the canal, you will find a table and benches. The beach access (Hillcrest Beach Access) is 2 miles from the home and offers an Ocean Viewing covered area, shower/footwash and Handicap accessible ramp. There are other parking areas for Southern Shores, but this is the closest and largest. This home is a great location for all your Outer Banks adventures!

When you stay in Southern Shores, you will be able to enjoy parking at the beach accesses, play/park areas, use of the boat ramp, 2 soundside park areas and the convenient location to shops, restaurants and grocery stores. The home is centrally located to attractions to the north, Duck-about 4 miles north, and Corolla-22 miles north. To the south you will find the Wright Brothers Monument, Jockey's Ridge, Roanoke Island-Manteo-with the Lost Colony, Elizabeth II, Elizabethan Gardens and the NC Aquarium. If you travel south on Hwy 12, you can visit the Bodie Island Lighthouse, Rodanthe, Salvo, Avon and Hatteras Village with the Hatteras Lighthouse. A 45 minute ferry ride from Hatteras will take you to Ocracoke Island-with the Ocracoke Lighthouse-a fun day trip.
