The place was unique and fabulous. My husband and I visited with my son and my mother, and there was plenty of room for everyone. My son, who often doesn't like traveling, was very comfortable during our stay, and even convinced us to cancel our sightseeing plans on one of the days, so we could just hang out on the property. Make sure you include plenty of down time in your itinerary, just to enjoy the outdoor dining, the views from the master bedroom, the coquis in the bathroooms, the pool, and exploring the property. I would second what other reviwers wrote: a GPS is absolutely essential. I would also recommend looking up an address for a good supermarket before you arrive.

Amazing!

My family and I had an amazing stay at this beautiful home in Guaynabo. It was everything and more of what my expectations were. I loved the open feel and the privacy of the property. This home is located in a gated community, set upon a hilltop with an amazing view! The setting is very lush and tropical with gorgeous flowers and palm trees everywhere! There are coqui frogs singing every night, along with lizards and a couple of cats that visited us each morning. I also enjoyed having the outdoor kitchen, which was very cool! It was nice to be able make breakfast in the morning. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need to cook with.The swimming pool was awesome! Even though it was raining we all jumped in the pool and swam in the rain! So fun! Some mornings there would be a light rain and then the sun would come out, so I woke up to rainbows almost every morning! This place was magical! The location was perfect, approximately 25 min to the airport and the same to Old San Juan depending on traffic. You definitely need a car here as there is so much to do and see! I wish we had stayed at least 10 days. I would recommend this house very highly! It met all
of our needs as far as location, comfort, amenities and ambiance! We are already thinking of when we could come back again! We have some great memories staying at this house! Loved it! Thank you John for providing such a wonderful place to vacation!

Great house, Super Value!

We vacationed with another couple celebrating our anniversaries. The home certainly met our expectations. It is as described, a beautiful open air home nestled on a hilltop. The location was great and the home offers ample amenities. The views from the master deck were amazing. The property was covered with Coconut, orange and banana trees. The pool area was our favorite part of the house. We had evening BBQ's and simply enjoyed the tranquility.

The property was clean and bug free. We arrived after Hurricane Sandy and the pool area was a little messy because of the storm. John was great to work and provided plenty of local attractions to keep us busy.

The kitchen took some getting used to. Although it was fully equipped and well maintained, it took us a few days to truly appreciate it's uniqueness. We certainly enjoyed having breakfast each morning in the outdoor dining area.

The remainder of the house was adequate. The Master Bedroom was very large and has an outstanding bath. The only thing we were somewhat dissapointed in was the comfort of the mattresses. The unit could certainly use an upgrade in this area.

Overall, the house was amazing! It's close to San Juan and offers a great alternative to the local hotels. We certainly would reccommend this rental for your next trip to San Juan.

Simply Beautiful!

I will start off by saying that this home is NOT an easy one to find. My advice is if you are going to book this house to make arrangements to arrive during the daylight hours. Once you arrive at the gate call John to guide you the rest of the way. Taking or renting a GPS is highly recommended.

Another reason I suggest arriving during the day is to ensure you have time to stop at the grocery store to stock up on food, drinking water and basic necessities during your stay.

Once you arrive at this property you will be very pleased with the choice you've made. This house is located on a mountain top and offers the most beautiful sunrise and sunset I have ever seen. Aside from the view, the house is very well maintained and the structure is absolutely beautiful.

My favorite part of this house outside of the pool area, is the kitchen as you are literally outside preparing your meals. What a wonderful way to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail!

This house is also gated and secluded so if you are worried about security this will not be an issue.

Ironically when I went out shopping or to visit the tourist attractions like San Juan which is about 15 to 20 minutes away, I found myself wanting to go back to the house to enjoy some refreshments and hang out in the pool listening to the Coqui's singing or watching the lizards climbing trees.

My daughter's and my Dad often reminisce about the fun times we shared and enjoy looking through the pictures that were taken. My husband enjoyed eating the coconuts that fell from the trees. So good and tasty!

It is a house worth considering, hope this helps!

Great place for a great price

When we arrived in PR we were glad we had a GPS. The instructions John gave us worked from the airport but we needed them from the car rental place. We were glad we had it. We highly recommend taking one if you can. The pictures of the house on line were exactly like what they looked like when we got there. However, the loft had a larger bed in it, which was great for us, except that it was a little precarious if you needed to get up in the middle of the night. There was no railing to block you from walking off the ledge into the stair well. It could be a little scary if a child were sleeping in there alone and fell. Also, if you are not inclined to shower with frogs and lizards you should know that the two downstairs bathrooms are garden bathrooms that have critters living there. We thought it was cool, but there were a couple of women with us that would only shower upstairs in the master suite. We were impressed with the outdoor living spaces and the pool was nice after long hot days. The view was amazing and the house was secluded with nice privacy. I felt safe because of the gated entrance and extra security. I agree with the other reviews that said they need bigger beds, we also couples that had to sleep separately because of the bed sizes in the rooms. The futons and twins would have been much more bearable to sleep on with a better mattress or at least a mattress pad. They were quite uncomfortable and we rotated rooms so that each couple could get a goodnight sleep. We noticed that there was no hand soap in the bathrooms; any extra toilet paper or blankets and no laundry supplies. We ended up going to Wal-Mart and buying some to leave there. We did have problems with our security card to get into the neighborhood. I called John and he offered to get it fixed, he was very accommodating. I wish I would have asked him to call the security gate and tell them the situation so that we didn't have to explain the problem each time we entered the community, but it worked out. We had an excellent time while we were there and would definitely stay here again on our next trip. It was a great value for the space.
