My wife Molly & I celebrated 2nd anniversary in this cabin, which is also called "Above It All". We stayed 3 nites April 3,4,5. First: the location. It sits on ridge within the Laurel Golf Community. So it's not rustic cabin 5 miles off the beaten path in woods. It's fairly civilized. The road up is all paved, and in a few areas very steep. There are other cabins close, as in another driveway across the street (but cabin is long way down the drive), a few other cabins farther up hill (you can't see them) and many cabins below this one and to left. Townsend can be seen from left side of deck. You can see the other cabins below you from anywhere on deck. So you're not alone and away from it all. These other cabins do not obstruct your view. The view: one of best in area. Completely unobstructed. The deck is all along the back and is wonderful. Mountains and more mountains. Cabin looks new. It is 8-10 years old but looks new. Very well maintained. Grounds are great. The kitchen is awesome - nicer and bigger than our kitchen at home. Everything super-modern. Full complement of cooking utensils/dishware/cups/glasses/silverware/coffeemake/microwave/oven/fridge all in excellent condition. Nothing you need to bring except food, and charcoal if you want to grill (there is a grill on deck). LR area with fireplace was very comfortable. Sofa and loveseat. Fireplace is log fireplace. It does smell bit like fire and burning wood in cabin. I think maybe previous guests in past did not know how to use a fireplace and filled cabin with smoke. Most everything from sofa to blankets smells smokey. You'll have to wash your clothes to get the smokey smell out of them even if don't use the fireplace. They include firewood if you want to use the fireplace. Internet wireless access easy and fast. Both bedrooms (one up one down) no problems clean spotless. We stayed downstairs. The bathrooms are spotless super-modern with shower downstairs and a whirlpool tub upstairs. Also the colors and decorations are great. Entire cabin is very tastefully decorated in neutral colors so no robin-blue kitchens or baths to drive your eyes crazy. The colors and furnishings are very relaxing. Lots of water pressure and they are on city water not a well. There is also loft with bunk beds, and basement with games and foosball. There is small flat screen in LR and basement. Not huge but functional. We were not there to watch TV so didn't care. Overall I rate it about a 95 out of 100.
