Looking for a conveniently located property in the Asheville area? Your search is over. My quaint apartment is located just minutes from Biltmore Estate, Biltmore Village, and downtown Asheville. The completely renovated downstairs apartment is located in a circa 1925 house at the end of a very short and quiet street with lots of trees. It's like being in the country with all of the advantages and conveniences of being in the middle of a city. I live upstairs and am available to provide information and directions but your privacy remains key and you will not be disturbed. There's a fully equipped kitchen with lots of amenities, Free Wi-Fi service, Cable TV and a DVD player. There are 2 private entrances. Enter the living room from a cozy little patio with a bistro table and two chairs. The other doorway exits from the bedroom to a very private porch that overlooks a large back yard which hosts a variety of trees, flowers and birds. Perfect for enjoying a cool drink or a glass of wine.

I am Janis and for many years, prior to my husband’s passing, it was our goal to own and operate a guest cottage in beautiful Asheville, NC. I am fulfilling this dream as he would have wanted. My love of nature and the beauty to be found in Asheville is a constant source of discovery for me and as my eyes are opened to the beauty that surrounds the cottage and apartment, it excites me to be able to offer visitors first hand information on the endless sites in store for them. I am here to make your trip a memorable one and to offer everything I can to help you achieve that. “Your Complete Satisfaction is my #1 Goal!” I've lived in 13 cities including Atlanta and Savannah, GA, Malibu, Marina del Rey, North Hollywood, CA and Orlando, FL for 18 years. Why Janis Kaye chose Asheville

I actually didn’t choose Asheville but rather married into it so to speak. My husband owned this home and lived in it for a short time off and on. When we married we moved to Orlando, FL and the house remained unoccupied except for an occasional renter. In 2000 we decided to completely restore the home and after renting it for a few years we decided to sell our home in Orlando and relocate full time to the property in Asheville, a move we never regretted.

What makes this apartment unique

It's the last house on a very short dead end street with very few neighbors so no busy road. It has the country feel but is within the city limits and close to almost everything. Biltmore Village and The Biltmore Estates, Downtown Asheville, Antiquing, Great Restaurants, Cafe's, Bistros', Unique little shops, The Blue Ridge Parkway and more are about 3 to 8 minutes away.

Enjoy a scenic and beautiful ride to Mount Mitchell, (highest point east of the Mississippi River) Mount Pisgah or the NC Arboretum just to name a few. If you enjoy the outdoors, my home is conveniently located to countless outdoor activities from white water rafting, waterfalls, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, horse back riding, to golfing and fishing just to name a few! Notes:
This is the perfect get away for a couple or a couple of girlfriends. Private back porch to relax, visit, read a book or enjoy the songs of the birds. The apartment is extremely clean. I'm usually available, except for the occasional vacation should you need me but out of site if you don't.

This was our first visit to Asheville and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Janis was awesome with places to go and things to do. The apartment was charming, homey, well stocked and meticulously clean. It is a pleasure to return here each evening! When not out exploring and sightseeing, having a glass of wine on the back porch was so relaxing.

We couldn’t have chosen a nicer place to stay and the location is incredible, convenient to Biltmore Village, The Estate and the town of Asheville. Janis also had our deposit returned to us a short time after we returned home.

Thank you for everything! Your hospitality was above and beyond. Shari and I hope to return in the near future. We have definitely developed a special friendship with a special lady in Asheville.

I can't say enough about this rental or the owner. The place is a cozy spot with a wonderful back porch to sit for breakfast and be entertained by the sounds of the forest. The apartment is super clean and well equipped. I would recommend this property to anyone. We spent 4 days there and I would go back tomorrow. The owner is just super and knows the area like the back of her hand. She has all the information you need on dining and attractions in and around Asheville. She made the stay special.

Third Time with Janis

Two years ago I discovered a gem in the fabulous city of Asheville. Janis’ cottage, where I subsequently stayed again 6 months ago and this 3rd time when I stayed at the adorable apartment. Everything was perfect, beautifully furnished, wonderfully clean and equipped (even coffee is provided!). It’s in a great centrally located area!

As this trip was made to “check out” places to live in Asheville, Janis again was so helpful, providing ideas and directions to help me navigate the city. The back porch is a great place to relax and take in nature and the beautiful spring foliage. I have seen Janis work so hard to make her back yard an outdoor sanctuary, almost single handedly! Her dedication to her guests is incredible and we all benefit from her creativity and customer service! Plus, she is so friendly and great fun….talking and laughing with her will add to your vacation experience if you need that.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Asheville and our stay at your little cottage apartment in the country. The suggestions for places to visit all met our expectations and the printed directions were a great help to navigating the area. The Biltmore was impressive one way and Catawba Falls was impressive in another way. But the whole area is just pretty in springtime. I, too, especially loved sitting on the back porch as the bright sun set for the day. So pretty and so peaceful!

What a beautiful surrounded get-away you have! The location is perfect, so close to everything! The information that you have available, plus your own knowledge was so helpful. This was our first time to Asheville but I'm confidant it want be our last!!
