The KingFish Cabin is a delightful cabin with a beautiful natural setting located near all of the high country's towns and best attractions. This log cabin will comfortably sleep up to 6 people with two well furnished sleeping areas. Both areas have flat screen televisions and bathrooms. There is a bedroom on the main floor with a queen size bed and the loft has a king size bed and a futon. The living room features a full floor to ceiling fireplace, comfortable furniture, and a flat screen HDTV. The kitchen is fully equipped with all accessories necessary to prepare a gourmet meal. Fresh mountain air and much relaxation can be enjoyed from the large porches on the front and the back, which is screened, of the cabin. There are only 3 steps to get into cabin, ample parking, charcoal grill, DVD player, wireless internet, basic cable, washer and dryer, and even an I-Pod dock for your convenience.

This property is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University. If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. I agree with all the other comments regarding Kingfish Cabin, but what delighted me the most was the entertainment the surrounding setting offered. We were there in the fall a year ago enjoying happy hour on the screened in porch when we heard the leaves rustling and an unfamiliar honking sound. Around the corner came a Mama turkey and her 11 jakes. They took a running start down the hill and lifted into flight to position themselves in the tops of the trees in the backyard of the cabin. As none of us had ever seen a turkey fly, this was quite a sight! The next morning at sunset I woke to the same honking so I rushed to the window to see Mama herding her lively brood back up the hill. Fast-forward a year and a half to this past weekend, again at Kingfish and again enjoying happy hour on the screened porch, when a single male turkey appeared at dusk to settle into a treetop. I can’t help but think he was one of the juveniles I saw earlier coming “home” to roost. I love this place!

From arrival to departure, the King Fish Cabin was a delight. We loved having a second bedroom and bath off the second floor loft so we all had privacy. The living room is warm and inviting, as was the fire we enjoyed in the evening. The kitchen is easy to cook in, and there is plenty of room for all at the dining room table. The surrounding area is chock full of fun things to do, and a restaurant for every taste. We loved our weekend at the King Fish Cabin, and look forward to a return trip.

A great cabin in a perfect setting.

This adorable cabin is so cozy, quiet, and comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking in. There is a grill for grilling out. If you choose not to cook, there are many restaurants just a short drive away, as is the shopping, and sightseeing.
The photos and description of the cabin show the property just as it is, clean, comfortable,
and very well maintained.
I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone.
