|Minimum Stay||2 - 4 nights|
This gorgeous three-bedroom cabin sits just steps from U.S. Forest Service Trails, and only a short drive to all the great South Lake Tahoe sites and activities on land and lake!
Rung by a semi-circle of mountain ranges, Mother Nature clearly intended South Lake Tahoe to be a place to bring the skis and the snowboard. Ah, but it also nudges right up against magnificent Lake Tahoe, and the snow in those hills melts in the summer into a green mecca busy with summer sports of all types.
This charming home with its stone facade and log exterior is perhaps as close to an idyllic mountain cabin you could find. After a day on the slopes at Heavenly Resort (about 12 minutes away) or a day on the boat on Lake Tahoe (about 15 minutes) you'll have the perfect place to relax in this home's spacious great room. Kick back under a vaulted ceiling supported by big wooden beams, put your feet up on the ottoman, and switch on the gas fireplace with its grand river rock facade. Pick a DVD from the library and watch a movie. The big screen 60-inch TV has cable as well.
If you're interested in local events or eateries, hop on the free WiFi to make your weekend plans! The enthusiastic foodies in town are anxious to serve up a diverse selection of dishes catering to any taste. There are more than fifty places to pull up a chair and have a meal, with all the action in South Lake Tahoe just 12 minutes away.
But you don't need to go out to have a great meal! This chalet has a fully equipped kitchen to match just about any culinary skill. Along with the fridge, stove, and oven you'd expect, there's a dishwasher, microwave, a coffee maker and a grinder, so bring some of your favorite beans! You'll find all the pots and pans, dishes, and utensils needed to serve a hungry group of hikers or skiers.
And that's a good thing: Koyukon Cabin Retreat has three bedrooms, and will accommodate up to eight people. The master bedroom has private access to the big rear deck and a re-modeled en-suite bathroom; you'll want to toss a coin for this one! The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third has a bunk bed with two full-sized beds. Two of the bedrooms have TVs of their own so there won't be any disagreements over whether to watch Leno or Letterman, and there's also another beautifully remodeled bathroom to make morning routines easy.
This home features a wrap-around deck with a patio set and gas grill for your use. You can relax on the deck or gaze at the stars from this cabin after a day of hiking, biking, skiing, sledding, or a lazy day at the lake. The fun begins just outside your door: at the end of the street is a wilderness area with an inviting walking path that leads to the Truckee River.
With its snowy highland climate, South Tahoe is perfect for skiing and winter sports. Skiers and boarders can hit the slopes at seven different places. Heavenly is 12 minutes away. It has 97 runs and 30 lifts on 4,800 acres spread across the California/Nevada border, so, if there's something you enjoy doing in the snow, you're apt to find it here!
Summer, however, brings even more options. Take the lake, for instance. You can float your boat, of course, or get a little wetter by water skiing or taking a stand up paddleboard lesson. And fishing? With visibility to 75 feet, the fish are just waiting for your line. Hikers: There are six trails in the area ranging in difficulty from the great views on the Mount Tallac Trail to the moderate but lengthy trek around Lake Aloha. Golfers can whack the little ball at six different courses around South Lake Tahoe.
Whatever your favorite outdoor activity, chances are you can find it here in South Lake Tahoe! And at the end of each day, return to your cozy chalet for a good night's sleep - and dreams of the next morning's adventures!

What a delightful home ! we relaxed after a great skiing day in front of the fireplace our children loved the kitchen counter they played with their games and it felt like home.We found this home to be immaculate which was very pleasant. We can highly recommend it .Actualy we will spend another week in February of 2012
We had fun. The neighborhood was safe and quiet with easy drive to town and ski areas.
My family rented this house in Tahoe and loved it! The agency was very helpful during the booking process. My son said this place was way better than last year. We will rent this place again when the need comes up.
My family and I booked this cabin the day prior to arriving. We were all pleasantly surprised by the cabin and all the amenities provided. The kitchen was great and provided an open space to the living room which came in handy. The description was as accurate as the property is in person, which is often difficult to imagine. The only downside was the cable only included 3 - 4 channels, so we watched a lot of movies. All in all, we were very satified with our stay and the price. We will definitely book another trip soon. Thank you!
Overall great stay, it had everything you can have at your own place. Many pots and pans, utensils, towels, bbq grill (though we did not use it). Will definitely look into booking when there is snow all over the cabin:)
Great cozy cabin! It was extremely clean an more than enough room! The pricing is super reasonable so you get a great cabin. The booking process was also simple and fast. Would definitely recommend it to a friend or look into renting it again!
This cabin was fully equipped for a group of friends and/or family to have a wonderful time. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking at home but close to restaurants. Lira's supermarket is nearby but the basics like coffee filters, salt, and pepper were already provided. Sleeping was comfy and there were plenty of blankets and bath towels. This was much more comfy than a hotel. We appreciated the selection of DVDs and VHS tapes. Hiking Echo lake was gorgeous and the Oktoberfest at Camp Richardson was the best surprise as it was going on the weekend we booked. Hope we get the chance to stay here again. It was so nice we stayed an extra day and a quick phone call made that happen easily.
