This cottage is perfect for families with older children or teens. The main cottage has 2 bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with dining area. The main cottage can sleep up to 5 or 6. The kids have their own space in the 'Bunk House' that is just steps away. It sleeps up to 3 and has cable TV/DVD. The cottage sits on a private lot with two large decks. The shaded front deck has a gas grill and picnic table. Enjoy your morning coffee sitting in Adirondack chairs on the side deck with a view of the lake and sand dunes. The back yard has a fire pit and a large sand box. The private sandy beach area is just steps away and has charcoal grills, picnic tables, fire pits and volleyball. Wireless internet is also available. The Flora-Dale Condo Assoc. is a family oriented neighborhood with wonderful amenities including a large shared heated pool with club house, tennis/basketball court, shuffle board and horse shoes. Dock space is available for your boat/PWC at no extra charge.

Silver Lake is a great vacation/recreation spot that is mostly known for its famous Sand Dunes that separate Silver Lake and Lake Michigan. Mountains of desert-like sand spans 2000 acres, 1.5 miles wide and 3 miles long. It is the only Sand Dunes east of the Mississippi that allows off-road vehicles. Silver Lake is an all sports lake that is perfect for boats of all types and jet skis. Local attractions include access to Lake Michigan, boat/jet ski rentals, T-shirt shops, ice cream, pizza, go-carts/putt-putt golf/bumper boats/game room, Jeep/dune buggy/quad rentals and tours, golf and Little Sable Point Light House. Watch as the sun drops over the dunes and turns the evening sky orange, purple and blue. Sit by the lake and enjoy the fire works on the 4th of July as they are launched from the dunes. Come visit in September during the Rib and Apple Festival and enjoy the beautiful fall colors. Spring, summer or fall, Silver Lake has it all!

We have been coming to Silver Lake all of my life. This was our first year to get our own cottage with my husband and children. It was the perfect size for us. It was decorated like a cottage should be....beachy. The bathroom was a very nice size for a cottage, the kitchen was well stocked with supplies and the bedrooms were great. The bunk house was a great place for the kids to play and watch tv and the sand box was a hit with young children. It was clean and well stocked with sand toys. The deck is a real extension of the house especially in good weather. We ate dinner outside everynight that we could. The firepit was close and the view of the lake was fabulous from the deck. This cottage is close to the pool and was great for our stay. Thank You

Absolutely a must!!

This cottage is a great getaway cottage. It has everything that one could ask for. Very stocked with everyday necessities as far as pots and pans, coffee maker, microwave, silverware, crock-pot, bowls, etc. Extremely clean, very well decorated and kept up and comfy beds!! The pool is huge and awesome to lay by and swim in. It is extremely clean and the association keeps the area very well managed and maintained. My kids 4 and 9 loved the huge sand box and the bunk house. The view of the lake was fantastic and this area has so much to do and we were never bored. The beaches were fantastic and the dunes were a riot and also just fun watching all the actions in the dues. The tour of the lighthouse was amazing and Craig's Cruisers of course was a huge hit. We did the tour of the dunes in the jeeps which was awesome and the list could go one. We will for sure be back to this cottage and the owners were amazing to work with and it overall was the best experience. Thanks for everything, it was truly an amazing vacation!!

Great getaway!

What a great getaway with lots of amenities. The pictures don't lie. The cottage is very comfortable with everything you need, and the bunk house is great for kids, or another couple if it's an adult only getaway. Plenty of stuff to do in the area. Whether you are interested in being on the water at Silver Lake, trucking it on the Sand Dunes (or just watching others on them can be fun as well), just hanging at beach or pool, or maybe a bike ride on one of the many trails that are in the surrounding area. You won't find yourself bored while staying here. We have used this cottage twice now, and plan to again. I highly recommend it!

Our stay in this cottage was great. It is very cute and practical. Had every thing we needed for a nice vacation. The bunk house worked out great for the kids to stay in. It is in a great neighborhood and very close to everything. The pictures are very accurate. The owners, Dan and Stephanie were very easy to deal with and very helpful. Would love to go back again sometime.

We have stayed at this cottage several times now. It is very nice. This cottage will make you feel right at home! Everything is updated and very clean! The location is great, close to town and to the water. Spectacular view of the lake from the deck! Our kids loved the pool. Thanks for a great stay, we will definitely be back for years to come!
