|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
Cozy, quiet one bedroom tastefully furnished apartment across from the Northwest Arm, at the back of a private family home. This apartment, with its own private entrance, is ideal for a single person or a quiet couple.
The apartment has a queen sized bed in the bedroom, with both a single and double sofa bed in the living area for guests. The kitchen is functional, but small. Rent includes heat, electricity, local phone, cable TV, and wireless internet.
Equipped with everything, you'll only need your toothbrush and clothes. Bedding, towels, dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, stereo, clock radios, even your own washer and dryer. The house is located on the # 15 Purcell's Cove bus route, which has limited travel times, so a car is recommended. One parking spot is available.
We are located close to three walking trails along the water: Fleming Park, Deadman's Island and Regatta point. One km from the Armdale Rotary, 2 kms from Halifax Shopping Centre, 6 kms to downtown Halifax, 7 kms to Bayers Lake, 5 kms to Dalhousie University and 5.5kms to Saint Mary's University.
Rent is $1200 per month. Minimum of two week rental, but longer-term is preferred. This is a non-smoking property - inside and outside.
We really enjoyed our weeklong stay at this cozy and convenient apartment! The location is excelent, with easy access to downtown and shopping, as well as to the highway heading out of town. The view across the road is wonderful as well as the paths and walkways.
This little back apartment is very warm and inviting and was complete with everything you could ask for in a home. We appreciated the private entrance and the full kitchen, which really helped cut down on restaurant meals!
Dan, Sandi and Calista were very gracious hosts and extremely helpful with any questions we had. We enjoyed viewing Dan's beautiful artwork in his home studio as well! Very talented!
Many thanks to this wonderful family, and we do hope to one day return to this lovely home away from home!

Our stay in your Home Away apartment in Halifax was perfect! You have a cozy apartment that was just right for the three of us and it made an excellent base for our explorations. Truly minutes from downtown and the all the activities on the waterfront and just far enough away not to be busy or noisy.
We especially enjoyed the view each morning overlooking the bay. From the apartment we were able to easily access Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. Fresh scollops at Digby was a wonderful day trip.
Everything we needed in the apartment was readily at hand, just being able to have breakfast and pack a picnic lunch allowed us to stretch our vacation and enjoy ourselves fully.
You have a wonderful place and we look forward to seeing you again!
Other than the steep driveway we found the apartment a good value for the money.
We really enjoyed this place. It is close to Halifax without being too close. The only issue we had was the incredibly SQUEEKY bed. By the second night we pulled the mattress onto the floor and leaned the box spring against the wall. After that we were well rested and quite cozy!
We really enjoyed our two weeks in that nice appartment in Halifax. The Owners are a very nice and friendly family who helped us whereever they could. They gave us always perfect informations or ideas to manage our days. The appartment is comfortable, clean and has everything you need. The appartment is surrounded by natural and a pleasant quiet area and only 10 minutes away from downtown Halifax. It was a very special time for us. Thank you for everything!!!!!
Unser zweiwöchiger Halifax Urlaub war wunderschön. Unser Appartment war sehr gemütlich, sauber und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Man findet alles vor was man braucht.
A cozy, convenient, complete, affordable and no-hustle apartment mere minutes away from Halifax by car, and a lovely family to boot: what else can one want?
Please don't rent this place because I want to make sure it's available for our next trip.

Regatta Point Walkway -
A nice walk along the waterfront. Walk down the hill to find the sign and entrance next to the Greek church.
Deadman's Island -
The island was used by the British military during the Napoleonic Wars and the War of 1812. French, Spanish and American soldiers died at the facility on nearby Melville Island and were buried in unmarked graves on this island. A plaque has been erected to commemorate the significance of the island.
