We live in San Francisco & try and make it down to our beautiful house in La Paz when we can.In the meantime it is yours to rent.
We have an on site rental manger who can take care of any requests or needs.
The Owner purchased this house in 2004
Booked this house for our stay from August 4th to the 14th. This is a really nice, small house with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room area and well equipped kitchen. It also has a nice walking pool outside and is situated in Lomas just outside of El Centenario. The nice thing about this area is that it is equipped with a sewer system and water plant. According to the property manager, you can drink the water directly from the tap. Not something I would try, but available.
However, when we booked the place the description stated fully air conditioned, which has since been changed by the owner. In fact, only the bedrooms have AC and the rest of the house is a sauna. With temperatures over 100 degrees everyday, the only places that are comfortable in the house is the bedrooms and the pool.
Although, we rented for 11 days, we moved out after 4 days to a hotel.
Things to note when renting this property:
1) Property manager lives down the street and is always available to assist you - good thing
2) Water system - good thing
3) Sewer system - good thing
4) the street is not paved - rent a 4X4
5) the house has Geckos which come out at night - good thing, they bring you good luck and eat all the bugs
6) Well equipped - both bathroom and kitchen - good thing
Our stay in La Paz was amazing. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and had the best time. Staying at this house was perfect; it was quite, private and had everything you would ever need. We enjoyed staying here because it was the right amount of rural Mexico for us on our honeymoon, as we usually try not to stay in the hustle and bustle of the tourist district. This property was still very close to all the conveniences of the city which made our stay a lot easier and more relaxing. Overall, the house was well appointed and very elegant. Just down the road from the house, we enjoyed some of the best authentic Mexican food of our stay in La Paz. Well recommended.
My husband and I went to La Paz and stayed here with our daughter who was one year old at the time. We flew into San Jose del Cabo and drove to La Paz which took approx two hours including a few stops along the way for refreshments, to stretch our legs and appreciate the views. I think now, there is a flight into La Paz direct if you go through LA which would be great too.
We stayed here for a week and it is a relatively new development, therefore the roads are not all paved etc, so you get the rustic area, yet new construction. The details of each home are custom to the owners preferences. This home has a master bedroom and a guest room with a living room and kitchen in between. The rooms are of a good size and the bathrooms are spacious with lovely tile work. There is access to the outdoor rear patio from the bedrooms and living room. The pool is small yet so refreshing when the heat of the day sets in - which is very quick once it is up! There is a partial view of the ocean from the property, yet a car would be necessary to access the beach. There are a few food stands and restaurants within a few minutes drive, as well as a small grocery store. The downtown is within a twenty minute drive and is very nice to walk along the promenade. The opposite side of town is where the large resorts are either built or under construction. If you are seeking a place that is relaxing and beautiful, this would be it. Highly recommended!!!
