3 nights in Bath

We three ladies spent 3 nights at this wonderfully kept home in Bath. Located in a very peaceful neighborhood right on Bath Creek the pictures here accurately represent the rental except that the sunroom is far better than shown here (we lived in that room!). It was too cool yet for us to use the pool (which is large and very clean), although after a long day of hiking thru Goose Creek State Park (within 15 minutes toward Washington, NC) we did soak our aching feet and enjoyed being by the pool. What I especially liked were the very many seating areas inside and outside to sit and enjoy the views, a book, a glass of wine, or what have you, so that any time of the year this would be a nice place to chill out. We also took advantage of the 2 kayaks included and that was a perk which is rare in any rental. Watching the sunsets on the adirondack chairs at the end of the dock were wonderful. Carol, the owner, met us when we arrived, showed us around and gave us some pointers and was also extremely helpful with information and questions while we were booking the rental. We brought all of our own food, so can't comment on any of the local restaurants (few and far between). The owners are continuing to improve the property and understand a walkway thru the yard from the house to the dock was scheduled while we were there but it was put off until after we left (thanks Carol!) All in all, we couldn't have been happier with our choice to stay here and would definitely return if we're in the area again.
