Watch the dolphins and pelicans as they play in the surf. During low tide, you can see the remains of the Confederate blockade runner 'General Beauregard' as she seems to pop up just off the coast. The beach is just a few steps away. Don't forget your camera and sunscreen!

Start your day with coffee while watching the sun rise over the ocean. Spend the morning hunting for that perfect shell or help the kids build a sandcastle. After lunch it's more of the same. You won't want to go home!

Visit Historic Fort Fisher, Located in the middle of Pleasure Island, historic Fort Fisher and the NC State Aquarium are just a 15 minute drive away.

Many excellent restaurants nearby or fix your favorite in the full kitchen. A short stroll to the town lake for fireworks, ice cream, and outdoor movies. There are even boats to rent for use on the lake.

Wonderful family vacation

My 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law and I were extremely pleased with the comfortable rooms, the views and the convenience. The home was clean and we had no surprises. Highlight was seeing a nest of sea turtles hatch just yards away from the beach house.
