Newly renovated and furnished as of December 2013 my newest listing on Venice beach is in the middle of all the fun that Venice beach and la have to offer but still in a very secure, quiet and super convenient location. I have another apartment down the street - please read the review - listing number is 515054.
The studio apartment has a large living room with a regular queen bed and a single pull out bed that rolls into the closet. The kitchen has granite counter tops, all appliances you might need and is full equipped. The bath room has a shower tub.
There is a washer/dryer on site. The apartment comes with one free parking spot and free wifi.
Just a little about me: I grew up in Germany and moved to NY to study film. A project require the relocation to California in 1999 and I fell in love with the state. I got a little into real estate and have another very successful vacation rental down the street from this one. The listing number on home away is 515054. Please read reviews :)

Having the experience from another successful vacation rental down the street for 5 years now this location is perfect. It is smack in the center of it all but very safe and quiet at the same time.
It is clean, modern and not cluttered. The furnishings have a simple, contemporary feel. There is lots of light and air.
What I - and my wife - loved about the apartment from the first showing was the great layout of the spacious living area with the open kitchen and dinning area .It's perfect for a small family or couple having dinner watch a movie or simply relax and hang out after a busy day of having fun in the neighborhood.
The apartment was very clean and had more room than I expected. The on-site parking and laundry were great. Very close to the beach and the coolers and chair that were in the apartment to use were a fantastic bonus.
If you're thinking of staying close to Venice Beach (Marina del Rey), you should definitely consider staying at this apartment. I traveled on my own and stayed there for 2 months. Instead of staying at a hotel, I decided to rent an apartment instead to really get a feeling of how it'd be like to live like a real "Californian" in LA. The apartment has everything you need. It's pretty much ready when you "move in". The neighborhood is nice and quiet, calm with good neighbors. It's really close to the beach (Venice Fishing Pier) and so close to the popular Venice Beach. If you're looking for places to eat out, have a few drinks or even grocery shop, you'll only have to walk approx. 500 meters and everything you're looking for is right in front of you. All in all, I only have positive things to say about this property and Marcus. He was so nice and friendly and helped me with everything. All you gotta do is ask him, and he'll be happy to explain and show. Also.. It's only 20 mins from LAX. I'll definitely come back!
We rented the apartment for 3 weeks and were not disappointed. It’s in a great location which is safe & quiet, only a block from the beach, bars and restaurants and within easy reach of Santa Monica (10 mins) & LAX (20 mins). The apartment is clean and very well equipped throughout with everything you could possibly need, including towels, iron / board, cooking utensils etc but in addition, has parking and washing / drying facilities on site which is extremely useful, especially for longer term rentals.
Marcus was a great host and we are already planning to return for another long term rental in 2015.
My 16y/o son and I decided to take a week long trip for some bonding time and I assure you, the memories made here were priceless. The location of Marcus's property is perfect, a walk across the alley and your gazing at the beach and less than a block away is the action and energy associated with Venice, it's vendors, restaurants, and recreational activities. If you're a runner or cyclist, you're going to love this place. We loved it!
The property was clean and had all the necessities needed for our week stay. Marcus was very responsive and ensured that we knew he was available, if needed.
I highly recommend this property and plan to visit again soon!
Cute studio. Clean quiet & fabulous location, Right off Washington Blvd with restaurants too numerous to count. Easy access to beach and bike path that runs from Santa Monica to Redondo. And only 10 minutes easy drive to LAX. I highly recommend.
This was the perfect place for our summer visit. It was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We easily could have had a child stay with us. Plenty of room. Kitchen was completely new and had every appliance available. We walked to Starbucks every AM. Bed and linens were soft and comfy. Thanks Marcus. Eileen NJ
This apartment is in the perfect location for people that want to be in the middle of it all but enjoy a quiet home away from home. It's a couple of hundred feet of Venice beach and Venice pier, lots of cafes, bars, restaurants, all sorts of beach activities and of course LA's #1 tourist attraction: the Venice board walk.
If you have business in town the 90 free way is 5 minutes away and connects directly with the 405. Santa Monica with main St., Santa Monica place shopping and 3rd St promenade shopping is 5 minutes away by car. Abbot kinney blvd - the new hot spot for cafes, bars, restaurants and shopping in Venice is right around the corner. All major museums and concert halls like Disney or the Getty are easily reachable. There is so much to do for all kind of tastes it's too much to list.

There is a $100 one time cleaning fee. Check in time is 16:00 - Check out is 11:00 unless there is room/time for a special arrangement.
The apartment is a strict non smoking apartment.
Guest may cancel a reservation no later than 30 days prior to their check-in date, in which case the guest shall receive a full refund of their deposit minus a $250.00 cancellation fee.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
