Stroll the grounds, try a cast or two from the bridge overlooking our peaceful private stocked pond...or take a serene walk through the woods to 3 flowing waterfalls. You might even catch a glimpse of our steathy blue heron.

Luxuriously comfortable furnishings, a pot bellied stove, and a nicely appointed kitchen create a welcome retreat to let the cares of everyday life melt away.

We're located in White Lake, Michigan on 7 wooded acres complete with a 2 acre pond, 3 waterfalls and all the nature you can handle! Unlike a B & B where you simply get a room, at Heron Pointe Guest House, you'll have the full run of the property...all to yourself!

We're also less than five minutes from Alpine Valley Ski Resort, two all-sports lakes (with beach and boating privledges)and the Highland State Recreation Area, Shopping, golf, quaint towns and fine dining are also close by. Heron Pointe offers a nice balance between fun things to do and the opportunity to cozy up and just relax in an immaculate, comfortable home away from home.

Notes: We have a private 2 acre pond on the property with wooded walking trails, water falls, fishing (catch & release only ) from the bridge, and a paddle boat . The guest house also includes full privileges on an all-sports lake which features a boat launch, large sandy beach, swim raft, volley ball and basket ball and a small children's playground. A mellow sunset cruise aboard a pontoon boat and water skiing with optional lessons and tubing are available for an additional fee. We can also arrange for a couples massage and catered romantic dinner with advanced notice. Small well-behaved pets will be considered. so please inquire. A separate damage deposit will be required.

My Getaway

I stumbled upon this GEM and after my stay I found it hard to leave and go back to the city. My daughter and family live 5 miles away and this was an opportunity to be with my 3 young grandchildren but at the end of the day I could retreat to Heron Place to relax and catch my breath. It's beautiful, just like the pictures. The moment you open the door and enter, it's as if you melt right in. The property is beautiful as well. At dusk there were deer passing through the back yard, ducks in the pond and all types of birds everywhere. Of course Carol has the bird feeder full of yummy treats for them. I've already booked a few weeks in the Fall and I'm looking forward to walks along the paths through the woods, fire in the fireplace and, oh yes, see my grandchildren. Dee

Heron Pointe was beyond comfortable and relaxing. The owners Pete and Carol show how much they care for their guests in all the details.The home is so clean and well maintained. The large yard, woods, and pond behind the house provide a nice sense of tranquility in any season. Heron Pointe was a perfect place to stay for our family for nearly three months. Just one step in the door of Heron Pointe and you will feel a good sense of hospitality and comfort.

A wonderful place.

My family and I stayed at Heron Pointe for almost an entire year. It was one of the most enjoyable times of our lives. Carol and Pete were exceptional hosts. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable experience. The home was wonderfully kept and the landscaping is absolutely immaculate. Whether we were relaxing in the winter in front of a warm fireplace or enjoying a beautiful night in front of the breathtaking pond in the backyard, we were always without a care in the world while enjoying the wonderful scenery. As I said we stayed here for almost a year and I would still want to go back and stay for a weekend retreat. i can not say enough how wonderful this place and hosts are. Thank you for everything we enjoyed every minute!

Good place to Relax and Get Away.

I stayed at Heron Pointe with a coworker for 5 days on a business trip. It ended up far more luxurious and cheaper than a comparable hotel. It's quiet, clean, and the house is absolutely wonderful but the owners are even better. Both my coworker and I agreed that the house is actually much nicer than the pictures make it look. There is a large expansive deck that we had a great time relaxing on after a long day at work. It's spacious with wonderful amenities including a large flat panel tv and a wide variety of movies on demand. Beautifully decorated by people who have good taste.

The owners are wonderful people always willing to help. Carol even brought us coffee cake as a welcome gift! I would stay here over a hotel *any* day.

What a weekend...

40 minutes and 5,000 miles from the madness of our daily life, we spent a fabulous weekend at Heron Pointe. From the first moment that we were greeted at the door with a bottle of birthday champagne, for my wife, to staying Sunday afternoon to watch the Lion's game, it was a super time. In between that we only golfed, fished, ate everything within 35 miles and went to a comedy club. The best part was the cozy wood burning stove and the most comfortable couch in the world. With a five star rating, you're one or two short...
