Our family of four enjoyed a lovely visit to Yosemite and found the home well appointed and suitable for all of our needs. It is incrediably convenient to have a home base within the park. The owners were very responsive to our needs and even mailed us some belongings we failed to take with us free of charge. We highly recommend this property!
Beautiful home. Well stocked. Driveway so steep that it was a problem with our van. Quiet area in central location. Very clean. Beds soft. Pillows terrible
Just been reminiscing on our wonderful stay in this fantastic house, and thought it deserved (a rather belated) review. My wife and I and two kids stayed for four days in August. I won't go into too much detail as, really, all of the very positive points about this place have been covered in other reviews. But to endorse what others have said in summary - fantastic, spotless and comfortable house in a brilliant location. Thank you to the owners - this was one of the highlights of a wonderful 3 week trip to the US!
This house could not have been any better for the six of us. ! I have been to a lot of timeshares and rentals, but this home felt special -- like the owners really wanted us to be here, and enjoy ourselves. The house had every item you need in the kitchen and baths, and was absolutely clean and spotless !! The wives especially loved the place. The pictures are accurate -- The house is very well kept, and the location was great ! ( I love Glacier Point !! ) Be prepared to climb a few flights of stairs, but the sunsets on the deck , are well worth it. Thank you Tony and Sherri -- ---John
We had a very nice stay at Bird's Eye Vista. This is a spacious and comfortable home is perched on a hill with a marvelous view and we immediately feel comfortable. We rented both floors and were glad we did. Like nearly everything we saw that was not on the valley floor, there are lots of steps and inclines. A generous set of decks replaces yard space and makes for comfortable lounging or grilling. The property provides music, movies, books, park information and some games for the whole family. Satellite TV provided some connection with what was going on in the world, but we found we watched very little programming... well, there was that Colts game we HAD to watch...
The Rim Fire of 2013 was active during our stay, late August/early September, and the owners were very responsive in explaining what the fire updates meant and were also willing to work with us if conditions made it uncomfortable to stay. Thankfully, that ended up not being the case. Even though parts of the park were closed during our stay, we kept busy hiking, visiting the valley floor and visited a couple of the nearest towns. Keep in mind that internet is spotty in the entire area - it's all that beautiful granite! Come prepared to unplug and *relax*! We would, and will, recommend this property to family and friends.
My family of 4 stayed here for our first visit to Vosemite. The home is conveniently located within the park and very close to Glacier Point.
There is NO cell service (even with Verizon) which was difficult for my teenagers to adjust to. They actually used the home phone to call their friends to let them know they were alive and not ignoring them.
The home is very well equipped with cooking equipment, etc. I loved coming home from hiking each day to enjoy the beautiful deck. The master shower is very large and felt great!
The counters and beds are nice and high. We didn't realize how low ours were at home.
The owners were very helpful to provide spots to stop during our drive over the Tioga Pass from June Lake. Soda Springs was beautiful! The giant sequoias are unbelievable. We love Yosemite!
Thank you for sharing your home.
Our home is located in Yosemite West which is central to Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point and the Mariposa Redwood Grove. The Badger Pass Ski Resort is only 15 min. away.
