About Aurelien Vigano

Welcome to Paris, where we live with our four sons.

We love the heart of Paris, where we have lived for 18 years. And during your stay you may well bump into us at the bakery or by the playground in front of Notre-Dame.

Aurelien Vigano purchased this apartment in 2000

Why Aurelien Vigano chose 5th Arrondissement Latin Quarter

We came to Paris as students 18 years ago, and never left the Latin Quarter since.

We have lived in this apartment for 13 years, we built a family here.

When our twins are born a few months ago we had to move. But we would not leave the area, and our home is 5' away.

That also means we will (almost) always be here if you need some help, or tips.

What makes this apartment unique

We love this place, we entirely renovated it over the years, made it extremely functional, while keeping its charm.

And we fully refurbished it this year, for you.

A Spectacular Apartment

  • 5 of 5

Our visit to the beautiful city of Paris was made immensely better by this wonderful apartment. From the moment we unlocked the door and walked into our 'temporary home' we were amazed at how nicely decorated and functional everything was. The kitchen has all of the state-of-the-art appliances to support gourmet cooking—and we used them to prepare a nice Easter dinner for friends who were also visiting Paris. The living room and dining room overlook a beautiful private patio with nice border gardens and good furniture. The bath had a very nice tub/shower and provided a good spa experience (complete with candles). The apartment is in an excellent location, only a block from Metro and RER stations, and a short walk to markets, restaurants, museums and churches. The owner couldn't have been more helpful, quickly responding to questions by emails or phone, and providing a good library of Parisian guide books and recommendations.

Outstanding apartment

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a stay in this beautiful apartment, my partner who is in a wheelchair found everything suitable for herself, although the wc was a little bit awkward. Aurelien was the perfect host and was always available to answer any queries, I would have no hesitation in staying here again when next visiting Paris.

Great Place in a Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was very spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen was fully equipped and the bathroom has a nice soaking tub. There is tons of storage throughout the apartment. It is nice to be able to tuck everything away, which makes the apartment feel neat and organized. And I just loved the outdoor patio! We stayed here during Christmas, so the weather was a bit cold, but that didn't stop me from enjoying my morning coffee out on the huge private terrace. Just as stated, the apartment is just around the corner from Notre Dame, which is an amazing sight to see and there is so much to do and see around this location. There are also 2 markets, which are 2 short blocks away, which is really convenient. The communication with Aurelien, the host, was great. He responded quickly to my emails and said that he was available at any time, if we had any questions. This was a fantastic place to stay and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you Aurelien!

Stunning apartment in wonderful central location

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous apartment. The apartment itself was a very well equipped. The terrace was a lovely place to relax after a day's sightseeing. Despite being literally around the corner from Notre-Dame, it was also very quiet and peaceful. The location was superb, literally steps from Notre-Dame and the river. Lovely boulangerie round the corner for breakfast, a market a couple of minutes walk away and plenty of restaurants/cafes/bars. Aurelien was a great host- he replied promptly to emails before our visit, check in/out was straight forward, and he was in touch during our stay to make sure all was going well. We would love to return to this apartment and would thoroughly recommend it!

Lovely apartment in great location

  • 4 of 5

Would have given it 4.5 stars but I couldn't make it do a half star!

Apartment was very clean and well appointed with (almost) everything one would need. I am an amateur chef and love to cook while in Paris from the abundance of great seafood and produce. The kitchen was great and even had good knives (I always bring my own and didn't need them here). But I do like to make sauces and the kitchen needs a fine mesh strainer or chinois for this. I had to improvise. No big deal but that would be a great addition to the kitchen for the cooks. The coffee machine is also not a Nespresso as stated in the description. It was a Krups. Big difference. Again, no big deal, but was expecting a Nespresso. I have one at home and they are great for a quick coffee/espresso.

The location was excellent, it is very centrally located, and we love the neighborhood. The terrace was awesome for coffee or wine and snacks or just a bit of people watching. We usually stay in the 6th or 7th and felt we had to take the Metro much less from this location. On future trips we would definitely stay here again.

Aurelien was very nice, answered emails quickly, and was waiting for us upon our arrival. We really did not have any problems, so we did not need to contact him during our stay for anything, although I suspect he would be very responsive.

We are not new to Paris and know our way around. However, if you were a first time visitor there was not much in the apartment to help. In other apartments where we have stayed there was always a big binder with restaurant and shopping suggestions, tips for the Metro, and directions to nearby places, etc. Was very helpful. There were guide books but that "local" knowledge is priceless. That would be another great addition to the apartment.

We stayed in May and the weather was fairly cool. I am not sure what it would be like in the summer months as I don't think there was an AC. Also bring a couple of converter/adapters for electronics as there were none provided. WiFi worked great the whole time.

Overall, a great stay! Thanks Aurelien!

Beautiful apartment exactly as shown

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I decided to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in Paris. It was to be my first visit (but not my last). I knew nothing about the layout of the city, so blindly searched for apartments on the internet. I came across this amazing listing and decided to go for it. We couldn't have been happier with our choice! From the moment we arrived, with Aurelien there to greet us, until our departure, we just exclaimed at how fortunate we were to live here for ten days! We found ourselves in the center of everything, Notre Dame, Place Maubert, the Metro, the Batobus station right on the Seine, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. It was easy to get to any attraction you planned to visit, and so much is within walking distance. As others have stated, Aurelien was the most gracious host, making certain that we knew how to operate everything in the apartment. We had lovely weather during our stay, so spent much time out on the beautiful private terrace. Aurelien recommended a few local restaurants, one of which was our favorite, Au Phil du Vin. A most charming place just a few short blocks from the apartment with awesome French food, great wine, friendly proprietor and staff. We went back a second time on our last evening. This apartment is exactly as shown on the listing...no surprises. It's beautiful and comfortable throughout. I posted photos on Facebook, and many friends commented on what a beautiful place we had. I would not hesitate to recommend Aurelien's apartment, and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Paris.
