The Owner purchased this house in 1998
We really enjoy living downtown in Colorado Springs...the old houses, large trees, great neighborhoods and the proximity to museums, restaurants, theater, symphony, parks, movies, etc. Walking the old neighborhoods is wonderful and the large front porch is one of the things that first attracted me to the house. In summer it is filled with plants and flowers.
We hope you'll enjoy staying here with the covered patio with outdoor kitchen. In the spring and summer there are fresh herbs that are available for the guests who like to cook. The private hot tub holds 6 people...children love it after a long day of sightseeing. It helps them sleep. Our kitchen is well equipped and receives many compliments as does the comfort of our beds. The back garden is an oasis in the city and is filled with fruit trees, flowers and some vegetables. Each week in spring, summer and fall something new is blooming!
My two children, my mother and I stayed here for a couple of nights for a short spring break getaway. The house is lovely! It was very nicely furnished, but also extremely comfortable! The owners were so welcoming and made us all feel that we could relax during our stay. (My son who has autism can get a bit noisy dancing to self-regulate, but the owners assured me that he was free to make himself at home. For this reason,I would recommend it to persons who have sensory differences, although it is on the upper floor, so it might not be the best option for people with mobility issues/physical disabilities) We all enjoyed using the hot tub under the moon and stars. And having food available to make our own breakfast was a nice extra touch.
My younger son said he wished he could live there! We'll definitely look forward top staying there again in the future!
Our family of 5 stayed here for a conference/ family vacation. We all loved coming here to rest and refresh between events and sight seeing. Owners were extremely personable and kind, went the extra mile to make our stay top notch. I don't know if we'll ever get our kids in a hotel again! We all loved our stay here! We did most of our own cooking , but did order from Borriello Brothers just down the road and really enjoyed the food!! You can't go wrong staying here!
A group of friends and I rented this charming house for a college reunion weekend. It was a perfect home base for a weekend of activities around Colorado Springs. The house amenities were exactly as described and photographed. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!
I cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was at this house. The owners did a wonderful job setting up this rental so that visitors would feel comfortable and at home. From the well equipped kitchen, to the access to the hot tub and outdoor gas grill, we felt like we were at home, but we were on vacation. The house is close to so many things near Colorado Springs, the Olympic Training Center, Garden of the Gods, the COG Railway, the Broadmoor. If I am ever in Colorado Springs again, I will be sure to book my stay at this house.
This house was everything I hoped for and much more! Complete privacy, it was very much like I was the only one ever on the property. I absolutely loved the style of the old traditional Co. Springs home and the furnishings were spot on for a very comfortable week. The house was only moments from down town and from The Olympic Training Center, super convenient for my purposes. The food for my first mornings breakfast was a bigger deal than I had figured it would be. I had just driven 1100 miles, arrived and went to sleep. Waking up to a full meal and coffee all ready to be prepared by me the way I like it was a treat. No shopping, no reconnoiter of the grocery store location, just up and cook, nice touch!!
We gathered as a family over my son's birthday and Thanksgiving in this lovely home. We had everything we needed and was accommodated when we needed something else (pie pans, cake pans). Although the owners live downstairs, we felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time we were there. The house is comfortable and easily slept the 6 of us. The house was very clean and well situated to be close to downtown Co. Springs. The hot tub, garden and outdoor kitchen were all really great additions to the experience. We will return here when we return to Co. Springs to visit our son.
