2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4-8)

This gorgeous large Craftsman home is a perfect getaway for couples, families, cast & crew, or business retreats. It comes fully equipped with original hardwood floors, a cozy front and side porch, living room with gas fireplace, large formal dining room, walk-in closets, ample kitchen and a laundry room. Yet, we also have all of the modern amenities you want and need: central air conditioning/heating, updated electrical, a modern kitchen with the added bonus of a vintage stove!

We also have a quiet outside dining area and gas barbeque to relax under the shade. The house is two bedrooms and one large bathroom. We have almost 1,600 square feet inside (over 145 square meters). You won't find a hotel suite anywhere near this large for anywhere near this value.

We have a Walk Score of 98 out of 100 on www.WalkScore.com . If you can't find a restaurant, theatre, museum or Hollywood Star on the Walk of Fame within walking distance – then you haven't stepped outside our door. We're only a hop and a skip to Sunset Blvd and Vine St, a short distance farther to Hollywood & Vine.

Getting Around:: Public transportation runs on all of the streets mentioned above (Sunset Blvd, Vine Street, and Hollywood Blvd) plus Fountain Ave just South of us. The Subway stop is only four blocks away and runs to Universal City/Universal Studios, Hollywood & Highland/Kodak Theatre to the North and all the way to Downtown and Union Station.

I showed this house to two clients who turned it down before I bought the property. I couldn't believe they didn't buy it. We're in a residential neighborhood in the Heart of Hollywood. Very quiet, yet in close proximity to everything you want to do in Hollywood.

What makes this house unique

We lived in the property for almost 10 years. The vacation rentals were so desired that we decided to make the house available. We love having people enjoy our former home.

Beautiful Craftsman Home in the midst of Hollywood

Very private and secure, yet in the midst of the action! Our stay was so much more comfortable than we imagined it could be! The home was, in and of itself, all the owners advertised it to be and more! The photos, as nice as they are, do not do it justice because they do not capture the feel of this magnificently restored and maintained home. All the comforts are there. The parking is secure and private. You will spend time enjoying the architectural details of the home as much as its comfy furniture including VERY comfortable bedroom accommodations.

We walked many places including a Scott (owner) recommended restaurant (named "Off Vine") located only a couple of blocks away. Go Burger (at Vine and Sunset Boulevard, a short 3 block walk!) was enjoyable for informal dining, as well. Scott went out of his way to provide suggestions, directions, etc. to make our stay even more enjoyable. We will DEFINITELY return here for another stay! What a great home base to enjoy Hollywood and surrounding areas!

My wife and I have no reservations whatsoever in giving this home and Scott a big 'thumbs up'!

We highly recommend this house to anyone,it's it very central and is in a very quiet street.VERY clean and cozy. We were a family of 5 including myself,husband 2 teenagers and my mother and we had alot of space and weren't on top of one another. Was excellent having 2 T.V's so my husband could watch his sport being the only male. We had a slight problem with the gate which was our fault but Scott was there first thing in the morning to fix the problem. Very VERY comfortable beds,pity we couldn't bring them home. Also had friendly neighbours which gave us some good advice on places to go. Would definitely stay there again as we were very pleased.

We loved staying in this home. Great ammenities and location. Scott was great to work with. We slept six adults very comfortably. One couple on an air bed. Very spacious and extremely well cared for. Immaculate house!

Great House, Great Location

We rented the Afton house for 4 nights.The house was spacious, clean and had a comfortable feel with lots of charm. We were a group of 2 couples and had more than enough space. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you would need. Having a washer and dryer to use was a bonus. The beds were very comfortable with high quality linens. The house location is ideal. In the middle of everything with plenty of places to eat and sights to see within walking distance. After a day of sightseeing it was wonderful to come back to the house and enjoy it's charm. Communication with Scott was superb throughout the process of renting this property. Had the pleasure of meeting him and he gave us some great recommendations for dinner spots. We went to Off Vine restaurant for dinner per, Scott's suggestion, and had one of the best meals of our entire stay. Best of all we could walk there as it was 2 blocks from the house. I would rent this property again if it was more than 2 people. If it was just 2 of us I would rent the smaller unit in back.
