3 bedrooms, 3 full baths , sleeps 10+, pet friendly!

This beautiful lakefront home is situated on an almost two acre wooded site overlooking a protected cove on the large public side of gorgeous Lake Anna. The sunsets in the evenings are magnificent as the sun settles below the treeline to the west with golden rays reflecting off the water.

Laurelin ('Song of Gold' in Tolkien's Old Elvish tongue) has plenty of room for entertaining and relaxing. A large den/family room has a 42 inch Phillips HD flat screen TV with Dish programming and DVD player for those needing a break from the water. The central kitchen is very nicely equipped and features a 'pass-through' to the den area.

There are three bedrooms, a sleeper sofa, bunk beds, and three full baths to easily accommodate ten people, as well as plenty of floor space for additional air beds if needed (there are two double airbeds provided). The master bathroom suite includes a two-person Jacuzzi tub as well as a large walk-in shower. French doors on both levels allow for great views of the lake.

Wi-Fi Internet Access/ Phone Service: Laurelin has it's own Wi-Fi 'hot spot' to allow guests to stay connected by smart phone or laptop computer during their visit. High speed internet service is provided through a HughesNet satellite system with wireless N600 dual-band router, and the WEP encryption access password will be provided upon guests' arrival.

Land line phone service with unlimited local and US long distance calling is also included at no additional cost.

Lake Anna is conveniently located 90 minutes from Washington DC and 60 minutes from Richmond or Charlottesville. Only 45 minutes to King's Dominion and golf and tennis just 20 minutes away.   • Rental weeks normally run from Saturday to Saturday, but other days may be negotiated depending on availability.

  • All rentals require a $100 cleaning fee plus 2% tax.

    Until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice. To confirm your reservation we require a $300 reservation fee and a signed rental agreement. 50% of the applicable rental rate plus cleaning fee and tax is due 45 days in advance (the $300 reservation fee will be applied to this payment) and the balance is due 30 days prior to your stay.

    Damage insurance is included in the rental rates, so no security deposit is required. If you cancel the reservation less than 45 days in advance of the starting rental date or do not make the advance rental payments, the reservation will be canceled and the reservation fee forfeited.

    Payment may be made by check, credit card, or PayPal. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

    Reservation requests received less than 14 days prior to the anticipated arrival date will not be considered or approved.

A Delightful Stay at Laurelin

We loved our stay at this beautiful, fully equipped, pet-friendly home on Lake Anna. The owner was very helpful with directions and suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. We loved watching the many birds at the birdfeeder, and a walk in the quiet surrounding neighborhood produced a sighting of two Pileated Woodpeckers. We enjoyed a visit to Lake Anna Winery, Lake Anna State Park, and Spotsylvania Battlefield. The property is in close enough proximity to Fredericksburg to provide a busy day or two of sightseeing and shopping. Our next visit will be in spring or fall, when we can make use of the dock on the property for kayaking on the lake.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful Weekend Getaway!!!

What a beautiful home!!

Extremely well equipt with all the little extras. The owner could not have been more helpful. It was a special girls trip but we all agreed our husbands would definitely enjoy Lake Anna.

This house would make any vacation, year around, special. It would definitely be a treat during season of the year:)

Lake Anna Memories 2012

This place was fabulous! The house/lake/area and location was perfect. We had 10 people from age 1 to 76, and a great time was had by all!! The lake was beatiful, good for swimming, canoeing or fishing. Even our two dogs had a blast swimming and hanging on the lake dock!The house was roomy, with a great deck to relax and hang out, as well as dine outside on.The entertainment room was popular, with pool being played till the wee hours most nights. Parking was spacious, which we needed for all the cars. Monticello was only an hour away, and a trip to their was memorable for us. The new Food Lion was sooo convienent, with great Pizza, Chinese & Subway next to it, as well as a "valuable" ABC store! We met the owner, Bob Harlow, who was so gracious and welcoming-so glad to have met him! There is lots to do in the Mineral area but the propery was so enoyable and relaxing that, other than the Monticello trip, we were content to stay here. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a great lakefront house to spend some quality time with loved ones! We will be back!!

A Great Place

Laurelin proved to be everything we hoped for and more. The house is beautiful, clean,well maintained and laid out nicely.Everyone in my family had there own space. Very much appereciated by my adult children. The lake and the area in general are both beautiful and quiet. A nice change from the hustle and bustle of my part of Connecticut. The Food Lion just up the street is very convenient. This was our first stay in Virginia. We enjoyed it very much. The people we encountered were friendly, the state lovely and there is a great deal to do and see. Both the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania Battlefields are near by, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is outstanding, as is Monticello which is also quite close by. Skyline drive was also very nice. I would recommed Laurelin to anyone and hope to be back again sometime as we had a very relaxing and enjoyable visit.

A Great (and Memorable!) Family Vacation

Thanks for checking in on us after the earthquake (5.9 earthquake at 1:53 pm on 8/23/11- Once in a lifetime!)and helping us through it with a couple of bottles of wine. We had a great time with the kids swimming and catching catfish from the dock and playing pool. A great family vacation!
