This is the perfect central location not too far from Phoenix International Airport, Camelback Mountain, Papago Mountain, the Greenbelt, the Phoenician Golf Course, Phoenix Convention Center, Old Town Scottsdale, Downtown Phoenix, Biltmore Fashion Park, Chase Field, US Airways Center, Papago Golf Course, Talking Stick Golf Course, Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, Casino and Resort at Talking Stick, the TPC Stadium Course home of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, the Scottsdale Arizona Greenbelt, University of Phoenix Stadium home of the Arizona Cardinals, Jobing.com arena home of the Phoenix Coyotes, Phoenix International Raceway home of Nascar, Arizona Falls, and Squaw Peak.
This Old Town Scottsdale vacation rental is 4000 square feet and has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. This amazing single story home has vaulted ceilings throughout, floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, and was masterfully designed and decorated by one of the best designers in Scottsdale. Features of this home include floor-to-ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings, Maple hardwood flooring, Italian cabinetry, tile from Ann Sacks in Scottsdale, 8’ solid wood doors, designer pendant lights, and polished chrome faucets and fixtures. Looking at the front elevation of the home, you will see desert landscaping and walls covered with slate. Entering through the original Crest view front door, you will be in the Great Room. The Great Room includes the Dining Room, Living Room, and Kitchen.
Immediately off to your right is the Dining Room, which includes a square wood table with seating for eight guests and a large white modern chandelier. Use the remote to open or close the automatic shades that cover the windows. A Patrick McCarthy painting of Audrey Hepburn and James Dean hangs on the only wall without a window.
Moving on to the perfect Living Room setup, you will find two large Mitchell Gold sofas and two Mitchell Gold club chairs gathered around a large distressed coffee table. This room is tied together with modern artwork, accessories, knick knacks, and coffee table books and you will feel like you are at the W Hotel. Relax as you watch your favorite programs on the 60” flat screen high definition TV mounted above the fireplace or pop a movie into the Blu Ray player. The TV, surround sound, and stereo system are all controlled by a Universal radio frequency remote control. The media closet is in the Pantry, which is back by the Kitchen. The media closet houses the cable box with DVR, Blu Ray player, radio frequency base unit for the Universal remote, modem, and wireless router. This home includes expanded cable service with movie channels, high speed wireless internet, and local phone service.
Moving on to the gourmet chef’s Kitchen, which is by the way setup for entertaining. The Kitchen starts off with the finest Italian cabinets, white marble countertops around the perimeter and a chocolate brown Caesar Stone countertop on the island. The refrigerator is a 48” Sub-Zero, the Wolf range has six burners, a griddle, and two ovens, there are two Bosch dishwashers on either side of the kitchen sink, and the Sharp microwave drawer is located next to the island sink. There is a pot-filler over the range for convenience. The basket woven pendant light hanging over the kitchen island is perfect and the cookbooks on the shelves above the refrigerator will inspire you cook up meals that you will rave about for years and years.
The large walk-in Pantry is next to the kitchen and includes the media closet and plenty of shelving and storage for the items that you purchased from Costco. Costco is only a few minutes away by car. The home is cooled/heated by two five-ton HVAC units and one of the two thermostats is next to the Pantry.
Moving on past the Pantry and around the corner, you will reach the door which leads to the Private Garage. The Private Garage is a tandem garage and is large enough for up to four cars. There is an additional refrigerator in the garage for guest use. Hop on the beach cruisers and take a ride along the canal into Old Town Scottsdale or to Scottsdale Stadium to watch the San Francisco Giants Spring Training Baseball.
Walking from the Kitchen through the Great Room and down the hallway, make a right. The double doors lead to the Master Bedroom. When you first enter the Master Bedroom, there is a study off to your left. The Study has a sleeper sofa, a desk which you can throw your laptop on if you need to get some work done, and a vintage pendant light in the center of the room.
Continuing down the hallway and floor-to-ceiling windows, there will be a spineless Totem Pole cactus off to your right. Across from the Totem Pole cactus is the Master Bathroom. The spacious Master Bathroom is finished off with 18” X 24” tile from Ann Sacks, two Italian vanities with white Caesar Stone countertops, polished chrome fixtures, an inset Jacuzzi tub, and a shower with multiple heads and digital controls. There are two separate walk-in closets and the toilet is behind its own door.
Just past the Totem Pole cactus is the carpeted bedroom area. Floor-to-ceiling windows look at the pool and backyard fire pit. This room has gray painted walls with bright white ceilings and trim, and is furnished with a king size bed (Simmons Beatyrest pillowtop mattress) and deep blue headboard, two bedside tables with chrome nightlights, and a dresser for your folded clothes. The cable box and DVD player are on top of the dresser and the flat screen TV is mounted above. The sitting area has two midnight blue club chairs, and the French door next to them leads to a private patio.
Just outside of the double doors to the Master Bedroom is the second thermostat. Across from the thermostat is the door which leads to the Green Room. The Green Room has hardwood flooring and is furnished with a queen size platform bed, dark colored wood dresser, two nightstands, and white accents. The cable box and DVD player are on top of the dresser and the flat screen TV is mounted above. This room has recessed lighting and a green and white pendant light hanging in the center. The sliding glass door from the Green Room leads to the backyard.
Around the corner from the Green Room is Guest Bathroom 1. Guest Bathroom 1 is spacious and includes a lengthy green/brown/white granite countertop, a bathtub/shower combo, herringbone tile from Ann Sacks, and a toilet. Guest Bathroom 1 is also the closest bathroom to the Great Room.
Moving on and off to the side of the orange and white area rug is the Laundry Room. The Laundry Room has a Bosch washer and dryer, both on pedestals, and houses the iron and ironing board.
Moving on past the orange area rug to Guest Bedroom 2. Guest Bedroom 2 has carpeted flooring, tan walls, and is furnished with a queen size bed, two nightstands, and a pendant light. There is a closet for your hanging clothes and a luggage rack for your suitcase.
Across the hall from Guest Bedroom 2 is Guest Bathroom 2. Guest Bathroom 2 has a single vanity, shower enclosed by clear glass, and a toilet.
Continuing down the hallway lined with a sliding glass door and windows, you will reach Master Bedroom 2. Master Bedroom 2 is carpeted and is furnished with a king size bed (Simmons BeautyRest pillow top mattress) and brown velvet headboard and bedframe, two nightstands with nightlights, a dresser at the foot of the bed, another taller dresser, and a small chest. The cable box and DVD player are on top of the small chest and the flat screen TV is mounted above. The sliding glass door from Master Bedroom 2 leads to a sitting area in front of the home. There is a walk-in closet for your hanging clothes. This bedroom also has its own bathroom which includes a single vanity, bathtub/shower combo, toilet, and herringbone tile.
Heading back out to the Great Room, the sliding glass door or the French door leads to the private backyard oasis. The courtyard in the backyard has a tree as the centerpiece, which lights up with bright white lights for the nighttime festivities. Sit around the fire pit and roast s’mores or grill up your favorite steak or seafood on the gas grill and indulge in the ultimate outdoor dining experience around the outdoor dining table and chairs. Take a dip in the heated pool or take a snooze in one of the resort-like chaise loungers.
The separate entrance to the Casita is in the backyard by the barbecue. The Casita features 18” linen tile flooring, a beverage center with refrigerator and bar, and a bathroom with single vanity, bathtub/shower combo and toilet. It is furnished with two bunk beds (four twin beds), a twin size sleeper sofa, a tall dresser, and a short dresser. The 46” flat screen TV is mounted above the dresser and the articulating mount allows you to angle the TV towards the backyard so you have a clear view of the game. Either that or the kids can play on the X-Box that is on top of the dresser.
