We looked for over a year to find a property with acreage that was also 'close in'. This area of private estates was about the last one. There are only 27 parcels of 35 acres each in the estate area with the major highway only 4 miles away--we were lucky to find it. There is paved road the entire way. It took several years to custom build the house and people often describe it as looking like a house from the show 'Dallas'. In this location we can ski at numerous resorts, go to Denver Cultural events, slip over to the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, or walk thru Manitou Springs '1960's' style town. There's lots of things to do here but our favorite is going into our picturesque town for a great dining experience. We have several 4 star restaurants, family owned, with awesome happy hours too. Staying 'in' is what most guests have preferred because of the gourmet kitchen and beautiful 360^ mountain views. It is also a golfers paradise with 5 highly rated courses within 15 minutes.
This property is ideal for that family reunion, wedding guests (no events please), golf excursion with a group, girls nights out, corporate retreat, high end comfort, private, easy access mountain skiing (just 15 minutes to C-470 which goes into the mountains I-70 and all major ski areas) . Plus numerous other activities,
sunshine, clean air, mountain atmosphere,
fabulous local restaurants and happy hours, local 'country club' catering with reasonable prices, morning walks, evening sunset watching, vast country views, that AHH moment upon arrival
Thanks for letting us use your beautiful house. And thanks for accomodating us on such short notice for our Colorado vacation. The family had a great time biking and coming back to such a comfortable country home (with all the luxuries). Can't wait to return!
This home was amazing and suited our needs perfectly! We had 13 women in our group this year and this house fit us to a T! Plenty of beds, bedrooms and bathrooms! Spacious living area where we could congregate and the views are spectacular. Many of us awoke to beautiful sunrises.
Those in our group took part in activities in Denver and Colorado Springs so it was a great location for that. We had just one teeny, tiny complaint, and being that we like to cook while we gather, there was not a big enough soup or stock pot for what we needed. You may want to consider getting one especially for large groups such as ours. Other than that, the home was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The descriptions are accurate and it was clean and well taken care of.
I would definitely recommend this home. Ann was courteous and helpful, answering any questions that I had. Thank you to the Torri's for sharing their lovely home with us!
This property was perfect for my family as we celebrated my sons wedding at Castle Cliff Estate. It has beautiful views, was clean and so well appointed that we wanted for nothing, is close to shopping and mountain outings - in short, we could not have asked for more! The kids could play inside or out, the adults could relax - plenty of parking, lots of wildlife to view, we had a memorable trip and the house was part of it. Thanks so much.
We rented this home as a gathering place for a friend's reunion. This place was just perfect for that. We all had a comfortable place to sleep, plenty of bathrooms and most important large common areas to gather, drink coffee, sip wine and converse. Ann and Mike's home is located in a rural area with beautiful views. It is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you'll need. There are plenty of things to do in the area for people of all ages and interests. We would highly recommend this home.
We had a family gathering here with 12 people It was more than we expected. Our family enjoyed the fireplace in the main room in the morning. Sitting with coffee and enjoying each other. We all went to pikes peak and Garden of the Gods one day. Then another day in the Rockies at my nieces wedding. Then visited Boulder and Golden. Though the property is out in the country we made it to sites easily. We enjoyed the peace and quite when we got back. The place was so comfortable and elegant we felt like kings and queens. The owners were very kind and helpful. You won't make a mistake renting this home. It's one in a million.
Anyone looking for a place for a large group couldn't do any better than this! We stayed for a family reunion and the house was super convenient to both Denver and Colorado Springs activities (and only an hour from the airport). The pictures don't do justice to the home - it was beautiful, quiet, and elegantly appointed. Lots of dishes, coffee mugs and silverware, too! There were 5 couples and a single in our party; everyone had their own room and bathroom space was plentiful. We even held a movie night in the media room!
The views were gorgeous. This home is even better than advertised and I highly recommend it.
This home is beautful. It has everything that you would ever need. We had 9 adults and two children (rangingin in age from 19 months to 77 years old) and had plenty of room and activities for all ages. This home is centrally located between Denver and Colorado Springs (approx. 1/2 hr. drive either direction) and has a great variety of places to enjoy. We are planning another trip and hope that this home is available again. Loved it!
