(BEAUTIFUL CABIN RETREAT ) 5 MILES FROM MIRROR LAKE

My wife and I rented this cabin and took our two daughters and two dogs for a 4 night stay. Finding the cabin is a little tricky as it is quite a ways off the main road leaving it a bit isolated, which we found to be great. It is a well-kept cabin and property with many conveniences (water - from creek, electric, inside bathroom, cast-iron stove, etc..) but since it is 'off the grid' it requires some minor handyman skills to get the utilities on. The owner left great instructions and was available by cell phone to help (by the way, good cell phone reception was a great surprise).
The cabin is very neatly decorated and feels a lot like you might expect from a cabin in the Adirondacks. The front porch was comfortable and a great place for morning coffee. There is a table outside under a roofed patio that is also a nice place for meals. The beds and the loft were also comfortable. The Kitchen was well supplied with cooking equipment.
While this is a cabin in the woods it is situated in a several acre opening giving plenty of sunlight and room for dogs to roam.
I would recommend this cabin to those who like to be far away from the crowds and who have a vehicle that has good ground clearance to navigate the long dirt road that leads to the cabin.
