CreekSide House is on a picturesque 95 Acre Property with a spring-fed Creek that feeds into the Pedernales River a short stroll away. Just across the creek is a large covered pavilion that makes a great picnic area. Due to the drought, there are few public access boat ramps on Lake Travis, but there is wading in the river. 95 Acres of open space are available for you to meander on the cedar chip-lined trails, including Woodlands and Meadow areas. This is a great spot for Bird Watching, Hiking, or just Relaxing.
Indoors: The CreekSide home was completely renovated in 2009 creating a spacious Great Room adjacent to a Large Kitchen with all New Appliances, Granite Top Counters, and Satillo tile floors. There are also small appliances, such as a Microwave Oven, Coffee Maker, Toaster Oven, Blender, and George Foreman Grill. The Dining Table seats up to 12 people. Upstairs, is a unique Africa motif Bedroom and Bathroom that opens out onto an Outdoor Deck which looks down to the creek.
Free Cable TV and WiFi Internet are both available.
Outside: At the front of the house is a large rock-surfaced porch. The back porch is a great place to relax in the porch swing or fix BBQ on the grill.
Our guests enjoy relaxing on the porch, hiking the walking trails, and visiting nearby attractions. There are a number of vineyards in the area that welcome guests for wine tastings or just browsing. There are also nearby adventure experiences, from ziplining at Cedar Creek Canopy Tours to going swimming in natural pools such as Hamilton's Pool or Krause Springs.
You are only 45 minutes from downtown Austin, with attractions such as Austin City Limits, Sixth Street, South by Southwest, Travis County Expo Center, and the latest F-1 track - the Circuit of the Americas just beyond downtown.

We have lived in Austin since 1976 having learned to love it as students at The University of Texas. John is a retired ENT doctor and Suzanne is a retired counselor. We enjoy the outdoors and learning about native plants and animals. We try to apply what we learn in the places where we live.

The creek was what grabbed us and made us say, 'This is where we want to be!' Central Texas was in a drought at the time and this was the only property that we looked at the actually had running water on it. In spite of the current drought our creek has continued to run while the River has dried up and Lake Travis continues to drop. As a result, there is still plenty of wildlife to be observed if you care to take the time.
We have opened up multiple cedar chip lined trails through the wooded areas of the property and have made pathways in the large meadow area for a varied, picturesque pathway through the property.
