London always has been one of the most visited cities in the world. After living in the property for many years we have moved overseas and decided to rent it out. It has excellent location, great amenities and stunning views. It offers quiete living while remaining in one of the busiest cities in the world. We really love it and hope our quests will enjoy it too!

Flat is very close to Hyde Park, shopping on Hight Street Kensington and museums nearby. Amazing BBQs in the summer and awesome sunsets.

Navigating our way to the flat was a challenge. After taking a lift we had to walk down two long hallways and then walk down a flight of stairs. There was no direct access and this was difficult with a lot of luggage. The flat was fine with adequate accommodations. The photos made the flat to appear nicer than it actually was so we were disappointed especially since we paid more than other flats we considered renting. There were no curtains in the main living area in front of the large sliding glass door. The seal of the door was broken allowing cold air to whistle into the flat day and night causing a constant chill. The shower curtain in the study/guest bedroom would not stay up and so we had to remove it altogether. I would have expected the standard of cleaning to be a bit better than it was. There was a lot of dust under the furniture and behind the furniture. This was only a problem for one guest who had allergies to dust mites and mold. It would have been nice to have had garbage bags available for the kitchen bin. As we were there around a holiday period most grocery stores were closed so we had to use small plastic carry bags. The location was good with easy access to the Tube. Nice view. The owner was very easy to work with and seemed very pleasant so I will give a higher rating than it deserved.

Owner's Response: Dear Carol, I am really sorry that we couldn't match your expectations. I have clear descriptions about location of the flat and all is usually discussed prior to the booking. We have addressed other issues already and have our handyman do necessary adjustments. Flat matches photos to the smallest details (except for office bedroom). We have lived in this apartment for 7 years and I never needed curtains in the living room as there are no neighbours opposite and the view of London skyline is spectacular. Thank you for you visit and honest review.

I can only concur with what others have said about this rental. The location is excellent; two blocks from the underground which has direct service to almost anywhere in town including Heathrow. Two large groceries close by, numerous restaurants, pubs, bakeries, etc. The apartment is large and fully equipped. It is extremely comfortable. Major museums are within easy walking distance and others may easily be reached via one of three underground lines that link at the nearby station.

Excellent Apartment in South Kensington

Our stay for 2 weeks in this apartment was really pleasant. I had a family of 6 people and 1 child and the place was very close to Harrods and other attractions in London. The owner was very helpful and was taking action immediately on a couple of situations which made our stay enjoyable. The only two drawbacks were access to the apartment on the 8th floor from the main lifts was not possible which was awkward and we had to use a small lift to go up and down 1 level to reach the 9th floor where the main lift to the lobby was possible. The other disturbing thing was the difficult to operate balcony sliding door. Other than that it is an excellent property with secure facilities and a safety deposit box in the apartment. A new washing machine was just installed which was really good. One excellent feature was the wash hose (shattaf) in the master bedroom toilette which was very helpful especially for Muslims. I would like to thank the owner for her quick responses to our problems and for sending me back the insurance deposit immediately after we returned home.

We stayed for a week with two of our grown sons and their spouses. The flat is well appointed, the location is wonderful, and Natalia, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. As others have commented, it's a little confusing to get to the flat the first time since one has to take one elevator to the 9th floor and then another one back down to the 8th, but it really is not a problem.

Nice Location

This apartment is spacious with nice furnishings, has a safe deposit box with key, and has easy access to the Gloucester Rd. Tube, Sainsbury grocery store and several museums and shopping areas. Furnishings were as pictured except for the 3rd bedroom/office which had a trundle IKEA bed in place of the white futon bed shown. We arrived on a very hot afternoon to find a note from the housekeeper that the patio doors to the deck were not working properly, and that there had been a temporary fix to partially close them. We followed the instructions listed on the doors and opened the doors to the balcony to try to cool down the flat. From then on, the doors had to be either partially opened or partially closed. We notified Natalia of this problem and she said she would get someone to fix the doors. However, no one came. The Tube train track noise can be heard clearly on the 8th floor, making sleeping more difficult in the balcony bedroom. Being able to close the doors and having fans would have lessened this considerably. I would suggest that the owner purchase some electric fans to help alleviate the heat and mask the train noise during the hot summer days when the doors have to be open. Our next flat in London did indeed have several fans for our use. We are technologically savvy, but could not get the tv to turn on even after following the directions about using the 4 remotes. We only had the use of 2 showers because the shower curtain rod was broken in the third shower. We reported this immediately to Natalia and a new shower rod was left at the front desk for us a few days later, the night before we were leaving. No one came to install the new shower curtain rod. When we mentioned these inconveniences to Natalia, she responded that the flat instructions said the balcony doors were sensitive. She said she has to have them fixed after each tenant! There are other flats that can access the same balcony and could have possibly entered through the open door. Natalia did not comment on the shower rod issue. Finally, we were told that checkout was at 12 noon. Imagine our surprise when we came back to the flat on the last morning at 11:30 am to find the housekeeping people there and also the next tenants sitting in the living room! This could have been a serious security issue since our luggage and computers were still in the flat! Natalia said she had told the new tenants that they could not come early but they still got access early to the flat.
