This charming 19th century oceanfront summer home is located in quiet, prestigious Biddeford Pool. The home features magnificent, unobstructed ocean vistas from the front deck and two second floor decks. The larger second level deck offers a panoramic view of both the ocean and neighboring Abenakee Golf Course (private) while the smaller affords shade as an additional amenity. A third second floor deck (covered) nestles near the trees of the adjacent Audubon Trail. It is an ideal place for reading, relaxed conversation or reflection.

Sip your morning coffee from the front deck while watching close-to-shore lobster boats harvest the day's catch. Embark on a ten minute stroll along the picturesque, rocky shore to the wide, sandy Biddeford Pool Beach or hunt for sea glass on the beach fronting the home. Amble along the Audubon Trail to historic East Point while enjoying the many sea birds and spectacular ocean views along the way. From the tip of East Point gaze across the channel to historic Wood Island Lighthouse, watchdog to the sea.

Surrounding Area: Wood Island Lighthouse, commissioned by Thomas Jefferson in 1808, is a beautiful ten minute boat ride from downtown Biddeford Pool and comes complete with a guided tour. Rent a kayak (downtown Biddeford Pool) or sailboat (Kennebunkport) to enhance enjoyment of local waters. Visit the charming villages of Kennebunkport, Kennebunk, and Ogunquit, all offering delightful shops, art galleries, antique stores, summer theater and excellent restaurants. Visitors can commandeer local fishing charters to catch a striped bass or bluefish dinner, join a Whale Watch, or take boat tours of the area. Buy succulent, sweet Maine lobsters at Wolf's Lobster Pound nearby (5 miles--live or cooked for you).

Historic Portland is a mere 40 minute drive.

Attractions: Portland is the major Maine cultural hub. Of note are the Portland Museum of Art, the Henry Wadsworth Longfellow House and the city’s Old Port section where many award-winning and eclectic restaurants, shops, and art galleries can be savored. For sports enthusiasts, the Boston Red Sox AA affiliate, the Portland Sea Dogs, play high quality baseball at beautiful Hadlock Field. Saco has an IMAX Theater and amusement and water parks. Freeport, just north of Portland, harbors the world famous LL Bean store and many other designer outlets. Brunswick, less than an hour's drive, is home to Bowdoin College and the renowned Brunswick Music Theatre.
