You can stroll through the nearby cozy town of Borgarnes and drop by the cafe’s, museums, shops and restaurants. Take a drive to the capital Reykjavík with all its glory, nightlife and culture. Make a day trip on the Golden Circle and see the exploding Geysir with all its natural power, and drop by the historic Thingvellir National Park, and view close up the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall. In the evenings you will always come back home to this modern architecturally designed house in Helluskógur and the first thing you might do is, relax in the hot tub and enjoy the views or the Northern Lights in the peace and quietness after a memorable day.

This is a super house! It is fantastic.
This house is great - it's really good: Would highly recommend. - stylish, well furnished, warm, comfortable - fantastic power shower - loved the hot tub Great location - just over an hour NW of Reyjavik - halfway between Reyjavik and Snaefellsness. Easy day trip range to all of the key sights and attractions.. - off the main road out in the quiet countryside so you'll get some proper dark skies for stargazing and (if you're lucky) the Northern Lights (we did!). - 15/20 minutes to the nearest town - Borganes - for shopping. The hosts/owners have prepared comprehensive instructions for the house and are quick to answer any questions. They obviously take great pride in providing a top quality vacation rental. Any downsides? If you're not looking for somewhere relaxing and quiet and you want buzzing nightlife then this is probably not the right house, but other than that - no negative points I can think of.

What a truly wonderful place!
Everything about our stay was superb. The arrangements, help and communication from the owners and of course the accommodation itself which was Scandi chic at its best. Great facilities, very clean and very modern. Desperate to go back!

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of space to relax together. We did a lot of sight seeing and it was a cosy retreat at the end of a busy day. We cooked a lot and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds are all very comfy and everywhere was clean and tidy. We used the hot tub every night and were lucky enough to have a fantastic view of the Northern lights one evening The shops in the nearby town are handy and any queries we had were answered promptly by Heidrun.

Fantastic house in a great location for West Iceland
We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful house. The location was ideal for us, taking day trips to snaefellness, husafell, the golden circle and more. 3 couples worked well with great open plan indoor and outdoor living space. Loved the hot tub and outdoor shower. Fantastic coffee machine too (bring your best beans!).

Luxury house in rural setting , close enough to town
One of the best properties we have stayed at over the many years of renting villas . Quality furnishings and thought to detail . Views are fabulous and saw the Lights on the first night . The hot tub is one the best we have enjoyed . Extremely comfortable beds , with extensive views . The underfloor heating is a joy to come back to after a cold yomp on the hills . A perfect stay .

We have been building up our Vacation rental business in the last few years and now we have 8 amazing modern Vacation rentals located in the West and South of Iceland.

Our goal is to offer our guests the perfect private holiday home to relax, to enjoy the surrounding nature and views and to have a good base to explore our beautiful country.

All of our houses have a hot tub and everything a cozy and comfortable home needs and are available all year round. We welcome you whether you want to visit during winter to view the Northern Lights or during summer when the nights are bright.

Our houses are different in size, style and location so everyone should be able to find the perfect house for their group to stay at. So whether you are a couple, a family or a group of friends, one of our rentals could be the right one for you.

Why they chose this property

We wanted to build a nice holiday home where we could relax and recharge the batteries and we think that´s precisely what we succeeded. Also the short distance to the town Borgarnes, where you can find all necessities, and to the Capital Reykjavík, is a very big advantage.

What makes this property unique

Peacefulness - You can sit outside or walk around the house on the large patio and enjoy the nature and the amazing mountain view in the peaceful surroundings.

High standard and modern – All the equipment in the house is high standard and you should find everything you need and more. The open space and the large windows give you the feeling that you are out in the nature even when you are inside.

Location - The location of the house is ideal for exploring the west side of Iceland. There are short driving distances to many beautiful places in the nature such as waterfalls and craters. Museums and historical places are also nearby. There is only a 15 minutes drive to the nearest town, Borgarnes, where you can find for example a swimming pool, golf course, shops, bakery, restaurants, library and health care.
