"Just wanted to let you know that our accommodations in Santa Fe at City Views at Alma Compound were excellent. We enjopyed every aspect of the unit. It was even more roomy and well-furnished than the pictures on the website showed. If anyone ever wants to talk to someone who has stayed there, please feel free to put me in touch with them. Thanks, too, for the welcome bad. Kind Regards"--George

"In the warm weather, breathtaking views from both the main floor deck and upper bedroom deck as well as the sunsets are phenomenal! To the South are the Sandias, to the west the Jemez and a short distance East, Santa Fe ski mountain, great to hike in all seasons save winter, when it provides very good skiing. Nice to have Ten Thousand Waves spa up the road too!"--Anonymous

"Loved the magic of the lighted farolitos on the buildings and the seasonal lights on the plaza!" --Guest (over the holidays)

"Awesome digs, awesome view and awesome summer lightning storms!"--Guests from Louisiana

"Even though it's called a condo, it's size and comfort makes it feel more like a home."--Anonymous

Good location and nice unit

  • 4 of 5

Overall our stay with two children was a very good experience. The unit was very tastefully decorated and supplied with ample linens, cooking utensils, plates and glasses but could use more plastic cups for small children to use. There are also a good selection of books and music CDs along with lots of firewood although the wood was green and needed a few more months of seasoning to burn properly in the kiva. The radiant floor heating kept the place very comfortable during our stay in March as there was still snow on the ground in places. The small "library nook" was an excellent place to read or watch TV, but the couch was the only comfortable place to sit in the main living area and unfortunately oriented with its back to windows and thus missing the beautiful view of the city and mountains. Likewise, the outside patio has one comfortable lounger but the other chairs were missing cushions, again, making seating for more than one or two people not very relaxing. We used the outdoor grill once and it was in very good condition, relatively clean (for a grill) and worked just fine. The location on the hill offers wonderful views and a quiet retreat from the city but the walk back from town may be a challenge for seniors or persons with disabilities. So a good place for 1-2 fit adults and 1-2 children but before we return we'd like to see more comfortable seating in the living and patio areas, and reorientation of the living seating to take in the views.

Reviewer Comments:

Overall the property was very well maintained with ample supplies of linens, firewood plus a good selection of books and cds. The radiant floor heating kept the unit very comfortable during our stay. Most everything was in good working or although the firewood could have use a bit more seasoning in order to stay lit in the kiva. There were a good supply of seasonings but the owners condiments in the refrigerator could have been stored elsewhere. The only disappointment were the out door seats which lacked proper cushions so we could not comfortably enjoy the outdoor patio. Regardless, we would come back.

Reviewer Comments:

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Santa Fe, and the condo was awesome. We had plenty of room for adults and kids. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and fabulously decorated. Every day, one of us would notice something we hadn't seen yet--I'd love to hear the stories about some of the decor. We were conveniently located to all the top attractions; on the two days that the younger set went skiing, I was close enough to walk to the shops in the Plaza. The Kokopelli staff were all helpful, solving our two minor problems quickly (a beeping smoke alarm and incorrect wi-fi password). We'd love to stay here again!

Reviewer Comments:

The experience is always fabulous at City Views. There were a few small details that I noticed this time however. The living room burnt orange throw smelled like cat spray. Additional wash cloths in master were needed. New master sleep pillows would be nice, these seem old and flat. Upon arrival, we noticed a towel had been left in the wash and it smelled. The porch doors had a lot of leaves and dirt which blew into the house. there were no extra kitchen trash bags. more than one bathtub soap would be nice for the master. There were ants again this year on the patio. the gardens were beautiful but some of the bushes need about 2ft of trimming, they are blocking the beautiful views to the southwest. these details would make a perfect stay.
