Camelot is a wonderful 3 bdrm 2 bth home located on the white sandy beach in Carolina Beach. The best way to describe this house is to imagine your own family beach house full of wonderful memories.The private walkway makes easy access to the beach strand. The home is elevated on pilings allowing parking underneath for 5 vehicles. There is plenty of secured storage to keep your bikes, fishing gear, beach chairs or any other items. Lets talk about the inside of the house. The living room, dining area and kitchen are very open and on the oceanfront side of the house. The kitchen is so very well equipped. The master bedroom(Queen bed) is street side and has a private bath with tub/shower combination. The second and third bedrooms have Queen beds and share a hall bath.

The realty company was accommadating when I needed to arrive after hours. I was a little disappointed by the ocean view (the dunes are high and block part of the view). The house was clean and homey but it could use some updates. My trouble started Sunday evening during a thunderstorm. I lost my air conditioning, laundry services, the kitchen stove, and lights in both bathrooms. The lack of lights made going to bathroom at night challenging especially for the men of our family. It all came back a couple of hours later. This happened on and off all week. This made scheduling coking times difficult. The realty company sent out a repairman several times. The power company came out. The problem persisted. The power box apparently needs replaced and this needs to be scheduled. The phone calls with the realty company and visits from repairmen didn't give me the relaxation I expected. I was offered a discount on this rental for next year by the owner. I feel I should be compensated this year as we don't get to visit the beach every year. I would make sure this problem was solved before I rent this house.
