Thousands of visitors come to enjoy Sanibel's beaches and hunt for that special seashell. Sanibel has an average temperature of about 75 degrees. While Sanibel Island is a wildlife refuge in and of itself, over 60% of the island is protected wildlife preserves. Sandy Bend: Heaven in Paradise

We stayed at Sandy Bend September 15th through September 22nd 2012. We have spent many years going to Sanibel, and by far this is the best vacation ever. The condo is just about as close to paradise as one can get. The location is fantastic, and the views are to die for. The couple that manages the complex are just as friendly and helpful as they come. We are so looking forward to enjoying another week in paradise this fall. We shelled to our hearts content and saw lots of dolphins and even a manatee swimming in front of the condo. It couldn't get any better that this. I just had to comment after seeing the other post.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Lovely condo BUT not really wireless

Lovely condo in a great location and had I not needed to make this a 'working" vacation, it would have been great BUT I relied on the description that this condo had wireless and it really doesn't. The "wireless" coverage is iffy at best, extending only into the kitchen at the front of the unit. My plan to sit on the lanai and take conference calls, edit contracts, and take care of email just didn't happen. This would be a wonderful condo for a lazy vacation as the views are wonderful and it is well stocked and comfortable but it just didn't work for us. If you just need to download and email or two, it will be fine but forget about trying to do any real computer work.
