My friend and I both retired and decided to celebrate by meeting half way between where we each lived. From the moment I contacted Kristi, I knew that we would have a wonderful experience. The communication was great and also sweet, as she asks that you call her to make sure you arrived safely. My friend, who knew nothing of the cottage since I did the arranging, arrived first. When I drove in, she was waiting for me excitedly, showing me every enchanting detail both outside and inside the cottage. The red door welcomes you into a lovely and comfortable living room complete with leather seating and fireplace. Everything is immaculate and artistic. The town of Benton Harbor is charming as well. We both will be returning with our husbands, next time. This truly is a treasure.
Single professional woman living in Chicago seeks challenging project transforming neglected property into the most magical, charming home in Southwest Michigan. That unlikely match was made in 1999 and the vision was realized after many years of hard work and thoughtful investment. I love this home, as does everyone who stays in it! It is a cozy, comforting retreat year round. For several years, this has been my principal residence, and I think you'll find that reflected in everything from furnishings to flatware. I've been grounded in Chicago since the beginning of 2010 by a new business venture and so I've decided to rent it and share the experience. My goal is to exceed your expectations!
