About Two Casitas,

Having been raised in Chicago, Il.I knew did not want to spend my life in the City. When traveling out west back in 1975 I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico incredible sky's and landscape. I found the people here especially back in '75 to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for 34 years makes me the perfect local hostess to give you local tips on making your stay most memorable.

Casa Puerta del Sol was very nice

  • 4 of 5

The home was very nice but a bit too small for our 8 adults and 1 child. Our newly married grandson ended up getting a small cabin close by. The home was beautifully decorated. Living area could have been a bit larger. Very clean and good beds and bathrooms. Would recommend to friends and may use it again.

Santa Fe is beautiful. Excellent shopping, skiing, gambling, restaurants and snow in the winter. Home was a bit too far to walk to Plaza unless you are a walker.

Overall experience was good.

Started with a little hiccup with the Casita not being ready when we arrived, but after a late lunch and some shopping, it was ready to go and very clean. It looked exactly like the photos on the web. Close to everything and in a very quiet neighborhood. I wouldn't say it's an easy walk to the square but diffidently doable. The only complaint we had was with the master bedroom mattress, on the right side there was a deep indention. Guess it might not matter if it was a couple sleeping in it, one could move to the middle. But, it was two sisters sleeping together, didn't like snuggling when we were little, not working in our 50's either. We didn't cook, but there is a nice farmers market on Tuesday and Saturday next to the railroad station, also some shops. In the same area we had a good lunch at Tomasita's. We also ate lunch at Cafe Pasqual and it too was good, just a little pricey. We did take a day trip to The Ghost Ranch about an hour northwest of SF, great views and hikes. If you're into lavender, there is a place before you get to GR that grows and sell all things lavender. I would recommend this Casita to anyone without small children, due to small courtyards. No open spaces for kids to play.

Just hanging out together

  • 5 of 5

Four brothers and sisters plus spouses (eight in total) enjoyed this delightful home for a five day reunion.

The home is located close to many great restaurants, museums, beautiful views and all in walking distance. Wether playing cards at the roomy kitchen family room table or lounging in front of the large television this home is very comfortable. We enjoyed talking and reminising in the private enclosed back patio area, while enjoying the afternoon sunshine. The master bedroom allows for different interests in evening television viewing with a second area with ample gathering space. Shopping area's for both cooking at home or finding that special piece of native art, jewelry or clothing again in walking distance or a quick hop in your mode of transportation. We will be scattering to many different parts of the country and all will be recommending this home for an enjoyable stay. The description of this home and emenities are accurate and there to be enjoyed. We all came away with fond memories of our stay.

I have rented several properties with Wendy at Two Casitas, and they simply get better and better. She is extremely honest and clear about exactly what you are getting, and if you ask good questions, you always get good answers that leave you confident in the property you are renting. This house was large, immaculate, comfortable, and in a fantastic location a short walk to the Plaza. It had the benefit of the local community center across the street, so you could go for a swim or a work out every day for a few dollars. I would just love to come back to this house!
