About Two Casitas,

Having been raised in Chicago, My soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains that I first saw when my Mother famous water color artist of Waxlander Gallery first introduced me to the magnificent area when I was only 6 years old. When traveling out west again back in 1975 I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico incredible sky's and landscape. I found the people here especially back in '75 to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for 34 years makes me the perfect local hostess to give you tips on making your stay most memorable.

Perfect cozy casita

  • 5 of 5

The house was a perfect size for 2-4 people, and it was tastefully decorated in a southwestern style. The location was very convenient with only a 5 - 10 minute walk to the plaza and a 2 minute drive to a shopping mall and grocery store. We would definitely consider staying here again and would highly recommend it to our friends. The only regret was that the gas fireplace was not working. It would have been nice to sit in front of a fire on the cold winter days

Great small casita!

All the comforts of home with a nice small yard for our dog. Clean and a good location. Property manager very helpful. Parking is tight, but I would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay here again.

Fabulous vacation retreat near the Plaza!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this casita for five nights during the World Folk Art Festival and it was everything it was advertised to be and then some! Kiva was exceptionally clean, well stocked with everything a guest would need including all the kitchen appliances, dishes, utensils and equipment one would ever use while on vacation. The neighborhood is very quiet and within walking distance of the Plaza. The back patio is lovely and includes a table, chairs and grill. The owners clearly love their property and Two Casitas does an excellent job of managing it. We would most definitely stay here again.

Near the plaza but located in a quiet neighborhood

Wendy gave us perfect directions to the casita and we took her at her word when she told us not to use GPS in downtown Santa Fe! What a walkable city it is. Parking at times was was difficult so we usually just walked. This was our first visit to N.M.and we loved every minute. We took a cooking class, visited most of the art galleries, toured Loreto chapel and the Cathedral, visited the botanical garden, Bandelier, and walked down into Valles Caldera. Early mornings were spent out on the patio sipping our coffee and planning the day's activities. The casita was perfect to return to each evening. Even with the heat of the days the AC cooled the entire house very quickly, and the ceiling fans kept the air moving. We cooked very few meals but found the kitchen well-equiped, but could have used another ice tray or two in the freezer. The bed we used was so comfortable be decided to replace the one at home even though the tempurpedic is only a year old. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay in Kiva and will be back again soon. Thanks, Wendy

Owner's Response: Hi Diane, For a first time visitor it sure sounds like you found the perfect ways to spend your time. Going to the Valles Caldera is one of NM most magical places. I am so glad you were able to navigate the town on foot and enjoyed the Kiva Casita. THanks for taking the time for writing a review. It warms my heart to know I have such happy guests. Wendy

This was a beautiful, comfortable experience!

We were very very pleased with our stay! Everything we could have needed was available and made us feel at home. From the fluffy towels, great appliances and dishes in the kitchen, comfy furniture and probably our favorite part was the fact that the sliding door in the living room opened up to a completely enclosed private yard in which we were able to open the door and let our collie just go in and out on his own! He loved it too and just liked sitting in the yard catching the rays!! Parking is tight if you have 2 cars or all the units are being used at one time. That would be the only problem. Great easy walk to shopping and the historical square.
