Come enjoy the best of Lake Blackshear in our classic, spacious lake house! The house sleeps 15 with four bedrooms plus a bunk room. Features include: large screened porch; outdoor fire pit on patio; large outdoor shower; private dock with great, no-wake zone swimming with large waterslide off upper deck; fantastic view of main lake from our inlet; large landscaped yard with over 150 feet of lake frontage. Interior features: large living areas with pool table, ping pong on porch, and darts. Relax out back on hammock or watch your favorite programs on large flat screen television. Bring your own boat and jet ski and enjoy easy load-in and load-out with nearby public boat ramp.

The Retreat at Lake Blackshear is located only 15 minutes away by land or water. There you can enjoy great food and night life at the Cypress Grill, or a quiet, romantic meal at Cordelia's. The marina offers boat and jet ski rentals. If you like golf, play either of the two courses located minutes away. For the hunters, there are multiple plantations nearby that offer 'first class' deer and quail hunts. For the fishermen, Lake Blackshear offers some of the best Bass, Catfish, and Speckled Perch fishing in the state!

Wonderful Rental for Multiple Families

We took FOUR families to this house and had 7 adults and 9 children running around. There was enough room for all those people without feeling squished into a house. The living areas were comfortable and the outside areas were great as well. The slide was a huge bonus for all the kids, all under 7 years of age. We look forward to renting it again next year.

Fun Was Had by All1

Our gathering of nine women was a great success. Though the weather was very wet the entire time we were there, it made no difference as we had plenty of things to do inside. Between the pool table and the ping pong table, there were enough distractions for everyone. Before we departed on Sunday, we had the opportunity to enjoy a few hours of sunshine and all agreed it would be a great place to come back to during the Spring or Summer when we could actually enjoy the lake.

This was our second time staying at this location with our children. We thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The home is set up ideally for families. Our children loved the pool table as well as the ping-pong table and bunk beds. We woke up every morning to a beautiful view of the lake from our private bedroom deck. We absolutely loved spending the afternoon on the top deck of the boathouse. Our children couldn’t get enough of the slide going from the boathouse into the lake. The view is gorgeous and it is so peaceful that we never wanted to leave. It was hard to decide between sitting on the dock or around the fire pit roasting marshmallows. We stopped by Striplings in the area and Salt Lick for some awesome steaks and cooked on the grill by the fire pit. I highly recommend this property. I can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful vacation

My husband, grandchildren and I had a wonderful stay at the lake house. The home was exactly as it appears in the photos. We enjoyed swimming and boating in the lake. The grandchildren enjoyed ping pong and our oldest granddaughter really enjoyed the waterslide. Thanks for helping us to have a great vacation!

Great Vacation House on Lake Blackshear!

Our group really enjoyed staying here! This was by far the best house I have stayed in on Lake Blackshear. The home was clean and ready for us upon arrival. The home owners were extremely helpful and accommodating, and the house was fully equipped with everything we needed (pots & pans, linens, and more). The bedrooms are spacious and the beds were very comfortable too.

Not only was the house fantastic, but the backyard/lake area was even better than expected! We enjoyed the screened in porch as well as the outdoor fire pit. Before our arrival, the home owners completed a large 2nd story "sun deck" too (great surprise)!

The neighbors were all friendly as well and spoke very highly of the family we were renting from. I would recommend this property, and we will definitely be back next summer!
