Featured in Texas Highways!

Located in a resort setting with everything you need for the perfect vacation: recreation, access to the lake, and the security and peace of mind of having a manager onsite.

Each bedroom has a queen bed and a set of bunks-- all with sheets, blankets, & extra pillows. The bathroom is fully stocked with linens, toilet paper, custom soap, & shampoo. You get the comfort of hotel-type amenities and service.

We do not provide daily maid service, but your cabin will be professionally cleaned and prepared for your arrival. Towel exchange for extended stays are not a problem. We recommend that you bring beach towels for the pool or lake.

The pool is maintained for your pleasure just steps away from your front door. Other onsite amenities include basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard, & horseshoes. Canoes are available to rent, as well as pontoon boats.

Guests who bring their own boats can beach them on the shore and walk back and forth to the cabin.

The living room has DVD, VHS, & satellite TV.

The kitchen has a stove with oven, microwave, full size refrigerator, and coffee maker. We do not provide dishes, pots, pans, or utensils. There is a charcoal grill and picnic table just outside the back door.

Two full service grocery stores are located in the town of Whitney just 3 miles away from the cabin.

For those escaping from the kitchen, the highly acclaimed Mel's Steakhouse is located at the resort, and other restaurants are located within 3 miles.

Children will delight in feeding the peacocks or brushing Crystal & Dixie our resident miniature horses.

About The Owner

Gary & Melinda Crow came to Lake Whitney in May of 1998 from Amarillo as refugees from a corporate merger, seduced by the beauty of the property.

Melinda is the author of 5 books, including 4 travel guides.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 1998
Why The Owner chose Lake Whitney

This cabin was the original owners' home in the center of what was originally known as Arrowhead Lodge, the rental cabins were built in the mid-1950's but had been structurally renovated in 1992. Our plan was to transform the business into a quiet retreat where families and couples could not only enjoy Lake Whitney, but the peaceful surroundings of the property.

What makes this cabin unique

Center yourself here for a fun filled vacation! Our location is convenient to golf, antique and outlet shopping. Take day trips to Fossil Rim Wildlife Preserve, the Dr. Pepper Museum and the Waco Zoo.
