We grew up and raised our kids here. The small town environment is a relaxing place to vacation. Great skiing, river activies, fishing hunting and abundance of fun entertainment.
Coffee from Brown Dog Coffee Shop, a quick stop at the well known Loback's Bakery then off to a quick morning at the Town Lake or onto the Arkansas River or nearby mountain to enjoy the majestic views.
Thank you so much for great service. It's a cute place you have here. I will definitely be coming back. Aloha,
Unit has been well maintained as it still appears freshly remodeled. Roomy, clean, and comfortable. A recliner has been added since the photos were taken. A coffee shop is conveniently located at the opposite end of the building. The location is also convenient, although there was quite a bit of road noise in the early evenings, which made it a bit challenging to listen to DVDs. The Internet access worked well in the early evenings, but was unreliable later on. There are two rental units, each with an outside entrance on the second floor of the building. We reserved the other unit (as the photos show, the two units are quite different), but assumed that this was our unit since, when we arrived, only the door to this unit had a lock box in place as described in the rental agreement. The lock box combination that we had been given did not work, however, and I then found that the rental agreement, which I had printed and brought along, did not list a phone number to call if there was a problem. We knocked on the door of the other unit and fortunately a friend of the owner was staying there and had the owner's phone number, which we called to obtain the correct lock box combination. Given our experience accessing the unit, I would recommend, as other reviewers have before, that the two units be separately labeled on the outside entrances (A and B, for example), and that the rental agreement include a phone number that can be used if problems occur. I would also remind potential renters that, depending on your existing insurance/savings, you may not need the damage insurance that is offered by default when you rent the unit online.
Nicely appointed. It is located to a BUSY road, but not an issue when sleeping. There is a small bed in the closet for a child. Be sure to bring your own shampoo/conditioner/soap. Some DVDs available and internet, but no TV stations. Homey feel. There are a lot of lodgings that include breakfast for this price along with TV stations. If you're going to explore the area and not stay indoors...this is a great option.
Very comfortable unit that is obviously well taken care of. Great location, amenities and price. One minor issue which was addressed by the on-site staff immediately while we were out for the day. Do agree that marking the units somehow would help know which stairs to go up/which unit to enter.
Unit was very clean, comfy bed (very important), good use of space and great towels. Would stay here again!! And would recommend.
Super roomy place right on US 24 (south end of town). Modern, clean, very cute. We moved full size mattress/box spring in closet to entry for more privacy. Washer/Dryer a plus, no dishwasher. With a decent showerhead and cable would be the lap of luxury. Stairs to access are around back. Problems were minor - WIFI password in room book incorrect, ran out of TP, unit # not labeled (1 of 2), directions to find would have been helpful for the uninitiated.
This apartment was clean and inviting. The apartment is small, however, so it really could only fit a couple. There is a queen bed and and then an inflatable bed in the closet??? I found that strange. There are no amenities at this place, so be sure to bring shampoo, soap, even dish soap. There is a tv, however there is no service- it is only used for DVD use. The apartment is not downtown or near the main drag- however the town is small, so you can walk pretty much everywhere you go. Overall, a good place to sleep for the price.
