Pahoa House Rental Photos and Description
3 Bedroom, 2 3/4 Baths (Sleeps 8)
You may have heard that Mme. Pele is cleaning her house and that there is an active lava flow that has reached the edge of Pahoa Town in the Puna District. As of 11/6/14, the flow front is currently stalled 400 yards from Pahoa Main Street and about half a mile from Highway 130. When/if this flow crosses Highway 130, services in Pahoa Town and travel time from Hilo to Hale Lezarde will be impacted. Two alternate gravel roads have been constructed to Leilani Estates and lower Puna and will provide access when the lava flow crosses Highway 130. In addition, Chain of Craters road is currently under construction to allow access to Lower Puna through Kalapana. Hale Lezarde and Leilani Estates are located uphill from the current flow and are not in danger from the current flow.
hawaii247.com is a great web site to stay up to date on the lava flow in Puna.

Come, be part of the Story.
Mark and Sandy purchased this house in 2012
Why Mark and Sandy chose Pahoa
After bringing a group of friends to the Big Island in May 2012 for the Transit of Venus, we found we had an extra week to ourselves and Mark suggested that we look at lots with a plan to build 'some day'. But when we found Hale Lezarde, we knew we had found our dream home in paradise! Hale Lezarde has all the features that we were looking for in a vacation home: The peace and tranquility of a secluded and private one acre lot, a home with Ohana providing plenty of room for family and friends, and the location in the Puna District of the Big Island with it's unique natural beauty and energy.
What makes this house unique
We have traveled the world extensively and have never found a place more beautiful or more relaxing than the Puna District of Hawai'i. The swimming and snorkeling are amazing and the water is always warm! We love the weekly markets looking for bargains and especially the Wednesday Night Market at Uncle Robert's in Kalapana, where the party is always jumping and you always feel like family. Kaleo's in Pahoa Town has become our favorite restaurant and we celebrated Thanksgiving there in 2012! We hope you will be our guests at Hale Lezarde and experience the beauty of the rain forest and the serenity of being on Island Time!
